ss20ts is correct. Sophia.org is the easiest path. Public Speaking isn't needed, as they let another course cover my oral communications without me even asking. Their English is far easier. Do that and you can walk to UMPI with half your degree done. They are very picky about ACE credits, but they do accept a lot. As ss20ts said it's easier to do them at UMPI. Their learning format is exactly like Sophia's pretty much. If you enjoyed Sophia, UMPI is the school for you.
If you're willing to pay for Straighterline they do have a partnership with them:
https://www.straighterline.com/colleges/...sque-isle/
But to be honest, the monthly membership + 2 courses at Straighter Line each month will cost you about the same of just doing it at UMPI.

StraighterLine courses have a lot more work involved from my research. We don't have textbooks at UMPI. Most classes don't have anywhere near a textbook's worth of content. I would not waste my time on American Government, any science class, math, or Spanish at StraighterLine either. Waaaaay less work at UMPI.
For example, the StraighterLine American Government course has 4 exams, a midterm, and a proctored final exam. When I took this class at UMPI, I had to write a 1500 word essay. I wrote it in a few hours. I completed the course content in a day. I got an A+ in the course. I didn't even know colleges gave out A+'s.
StraighterLine is now $99 a month? It used to be $59 a month. Wow.

Yeah straighterline is crazy expensive and a lot of work. I'm glad I did Sophia and went straight to UMPI.

Thank you, I have 72 credits from my prior college from University of Wisconsin.....it looks like is better if I just finish the courses at UMPI, I wanted to do maybe accounting since I don’t have it.

Oh if you have 72 credits already, I would apply and see what you have left to complete a degree. It really may just be easier to go to UMPI than take anymore ACE credits.

You should totally post your unofficial transcript in the Degree Planning board. I think UMPI is a great option for you. Users at the DegreePlanning board will be able to tell you if any of your missing classes can be taken at Sophia.org to save you some $$$ so you can hit the ground running at UMPI

Does anyone know if UMPI degrees are conferred as soon as completion OR set graduation schedules?
an example.
TESU = degrees are conferred several times a year.
WGU = degrees are conferred within a few weeks of completing the program.
Let me know.

They confer degrees after each term ends. I finish my required courses next month. My degree will confer after that and before the Spring Term 2 ends (we're in Spring Term 1 right now). I don't have to wait for May when Commencement is held.
