UMPI does not offer CS or Cybersecurity in YourPace. You'd have to transfer in the courses. With a minor it's not a problem because you only have to meet the residency requirements for the first minor. Majors aren't the same when it comes to residency requirements. Actually, the residency requirements aren't for majors but for degrees. There aren't any residency requirements for majors.
I completed 2 bachelor's degrees from UMPI and YES there are residency requirements for each major and the first minor in the BLS. You should read the college catalog. The requirements are in it.

http://catalog.umpi.edu/content.php?catoid=7&navoid=276
"All four-year degree candidates must complete at least 30 credit hours of study through UMPI in order to receive a baccalaureate degree. At least 12 of these credits must be in the major and at least 9 of these 12 must be at the upper level (300-level or above)."
All bachelors degree candidates have to do 30 credits; candidates do not have to do 30/12/9 credits per major. What you're saying is that a degree candidate needs to do 30/12/9 credits per major. But this would entitle them to get two degrees instead of simply two majors.
"In order to receive additional degrees, the following conditions must be met: (1) The first degree must have been awarded; (2) The student must apply through Admissions for subsequent degrees; (3) A minimum number of credits must be earned beyond the total hours earned for the previous degree: 15 for each additional Associate, 30 for each additional Baccalaureate."
Unless the requirements for two degrees and two majors are the same, students wouldn't need a second residency requirement. BLS students don't have majors, for example.
One can have 2 majors and will not earn 2 degrees. You one double majors in English and History, one degree is awarded at graduation - the Bachelor of Arts. The diploma will list both majors. The transcripts will list 1 degree with 2 majors.
Completing 2 degrees is something different. I did complete 2 degrees at UMPI. I had to complete 30 credits at UMPI and the minor requirements for my BLS. Then I had to apply for graduation and wait for my degree to be conferred. Then I had to apply again to UMPI and be accepted. Once accepted I still had to complete and additional 30 credits at UMPI. All 30 credits had to be completed AFTER my first degree was conferred. I also had to meet the major requirements for my BABA including the 12 credit in the major and 9 the UL credits.
And you're also wrong about BLS students! BLS does in fact have a major. The major is Liberal Studies.

Basically, at this juncture... I would only recommend people who have all the major/minor requirements try to do this, if you're starting from scratch, skip it... I would recommend doing the BABA PM & IS instead, and have a balanced mix/match of the trifecta of certs, degree, experience instead.

For clarification, if you were pursuing a BLS with a normally listed yourpace minor, i.e. completing 30 credits at UMPI (I'm pursuing MIS minor). You can fully transfer in all courses for a second minor in Cybersecurity, via Sophia, SDC, and Coursera?
If so, has anyone been successful doing this? What courses did you transfer?

I don't think anyone has been successful in doing this.
If someone has alt courses that would fulfill a minor in cybersecurity, I will add it to the UMPI Minors Wiki

Not all classes are transferable, but that's the logic to it, transfer everything in if at all possible... Cybersecurity has 2 classes that can't be transferred in for the minor, otherwise, the only option is to either take the butt-in-seat classes at UMPI or their online counterparts at a premium. For cost, ease, speed, I would do a mix/match trifecta of certs, education, experience, by skipping the minor in favor of multiple Google/IBM professional certs instead, it's all personal preference on how you go through with your educational journey.

Bump. Saw a guy with a Math minor on Facebook Group, which isn't offered in YourPace, still able to do the minor...
With the same logic, a Cybersecurity minor should be achievable... As long as you've all the alt credits...it's just like the BAS "hidden item" previously discussed

The Cybersecurity major is scheduled to come to YourPace in Spring 2026, per President Rice quoted on the Discord.

For those who graduated already with a BAS or BLS, or thinking of your first degree, you can add another major as an option when they come out for Computer Science later in the year or Cybersecurity when it comes out in 2026. If you want to go slowly and do two sessions, you can wait for both to be out and do a double major in CS/Cyber.

As long as the courses come in as a specific class and not as an elective, you're good to go. It'll have to come from ACE/NA/RA sources... The plan above should work, you may want to email UMPI to confirm.
