I have been researching UMPI for about 6 months now with the possibility of attempting their BABA in Management. From what I'm seeing, the course difficulty has ramped up recently? How difficult is UMPI compared to courses at Sophia and Study.com? Thanks in advance for any info.

It depends on the course. It depends on the person. Almost all UMPI courses are graded based on a single paper/project. If you're good at writing papers, you should be golden.

UMPI was always more difficult than Sophia. Sophia courses are beyond easy. The most difficult Sophia course for me was Introduction to Statistics. I took it years ago at a college and it was wicked hard then. Math and I are not friends.
I wouldn't say the course difficulty amped up at UMPI. I would say you're seeing more people talk about it. Certain courses like the science course has always been challenging. I've seen several people struggle with the PowerPoint for BUS415, yet I thought it was a piece of cake. The professors change and that is part of what I think is making it look more difficult. Some professors are pickier than others.

UMPI courses are generally more challenging than Sophia and Study.com. Sophia/Study.com focus on quizzes and videos, while UMPI requires essays, projects, and mastery-based grading. The workload has increased recently, but it's still manageable with good time management.

Sophia.org, Study.com, generally are supposed to be for lower level, Sophia.org only has a handful of upper level, Study.com has many more upper level. These are all alternative credit, it's shorter than a traditional class, and has less requirements. Sophia/Study.com also has finals/milestones and assignments/touchstones.
