Sorry for the delay in responding.

70% is passing.

Coopersmith courses appear on Excelsior transcripts as pass/fail.

All Rechtschaffen courses, including the upper level Political Science/ History 350, which appears in the General Ed folder of your TCC user account appear as a letter grade on Excelsior. This course is also a bit less expensive ($150) than the Coopersmith courses.

I'm interested in learning more about your Upper Level history course (HIS-301) and how it is structured. Can I access the syllabus without creating an account? As I'm just in the "looking" stage at this point, I'm a little hesitant in giving out my Social Security Number (necessary for registration).

I'm particularly interested in the course format - does it utilize a traditional textbook with multiple choice lesson assignments/multiple choice final exam, does this course include any written essay requirements, is it a graded course or just pass/fail, etc.?

We have two upper level history courses. HIS 301 and also HIS 350.

HIS 350, The History of Antisemitism in the US, is a Rechtschaffen course that receives a letter grade from Excelsior. Here is a link to the NCCRS website's recommendation/course description for HIS 350. Study materials consist of a study guide/course notes and an audio "crash course". There are other optional readings but these are the essentials. There is one final exam, which will comprise your grade, consisting of 20 multiple choice, 15 open ended, and 3 short essays. TCC user accounts now include a History folder found in General ED which includes this course. Many students have used this to fulfill the 2nd depth requirement (3 credit upper level). Thank you so much for your in-depth response. I am definitely interested in the pass/fail HIS 301 course. I am assuming that since EC accepts HIS 350, it will also accept HIS 301. I will set up an account so as to get a better look at this course's specifics, then contact EC for confirmation if I decide move forward.

One question...After you complete a course, do you have control over whether or not the transcript is sent to the school of your choice?

I have just registered on the Torah College website but cannot access a HIS 301 study guide - only HIS 350 is listed in the "history" folder. Any advice as to where to view the HIS 301 study guide?

I have my advisor checking on it now as well but those of you that have utilized Coppersmith to fulfill ENG-103 for Excelsior's Information Lit did you choose the ENG-103 version which gives two credits or the "new version" which gives 3 credits? Both say that it fulfills Excelsior's ENG-103 requirement. Thanks.
