Yes, you can switch to a different math on ALEKS now that ACE has it on your transcript.

The deadline is over and I won't be getting any credits. I didn't bother switching out my Statistics course because I still want to fill in my pie and I didn't feel motivated enough to start another course.

I'm hoping ALEKS gets certified again soon, but if it doesn't, I'll just be using another alternative (maybe a DSST on Principles of Statistics) and using ALEKS to prepare for it.

I'm probably going to end up taking that DSST too. It will probably be the first CLEP/DSST that I fail lol.

I'm not looking forward to it but luckily/unfortunately I still have a ton of other credits I need to work on so I can put that off for a bit and go back to it, and hopefully by then ALEKS will be back.

I tried to get College Algebra in under the wire, not only did I not make midnight (or the 3am just in case cause they're in CA wishful thinking deadline) but I also only assessed at 27%, lol.

I just got off the phone with ALEKS and they are amazing.

Not only did they give me a full refund back when I thought I had missed the ACE deadline (when I thought it was 9/30,) but when I did what I wrote about in the OP of this thread, I only successfully completed one course so they gave me a refund for the other student account under which I failed miserably to complete statistics by the 10/31 deadline.

I'm very grateful and very impressed with their customer service.

She did say again that they do expect to be reaccredited by the end of December.

I also asked if there are going to be any major changes and she said no. I didn't specifically ask about proctored final exams but I think that would qualify as a major change, lol.
Not that that is any guarantee but thought I would mention that I asked in case anyone else is wondering as well.

Thanks for the information JBtesc.

So they are saying December? Just curious, because the ALEK's website said something about it going back to the date of 1-Nov-2013 which can be confusing. So I guess that means that IF they get it in December, anyone that passed in November would be credited in retrospect?

Anyway, your post at least gave me some hope for future math classes. I am glad you asked a lot of questions and had a good experience with ALEK's staff.

Thanks!
T

Yep, they're saying that whenever they do get re-accredited that it will be retroactive, so you're good even if you complete it between Nov 1 and then.
