I did 15 classes in the 8-week session. Almost all of the Sophia courses and 3 SDC classes to get this done in one session a few transfer credits but most weren't needed. and are all extra. Anyway, this group helped tons with planning and motivation and venting/griping lol.

Congrats to those who finished this session and good luck, you got this, to those still going!

Congratulations on your accomplishments! UMPI told me they require that students complete 30 credits through them. How long did their courses take for you to complete?

Yes, I did all 15 at UMPI, I just did general management and leadership. I was going to minor but honestly wouldn't be beneficial for my career. I could have finished weeks ago with my BLS but I thought I have time why not go for the additional courses and get the BBA.

I just started the summer session 1 at UMPI and I feel overwhelmed. I've been an on again off again student for the past 20 years. I have AA Degree and pursuing a BLS-Minor in Bus Management at UMPI (yourpace).  How in the world did you complete 15 classes in 8 weeks? what is your secret? what was your study method?
I'm feel the same as you student4life80. I wish you the best and hope that you succeed! Smile

The secret, don't compare to anyone else on this message board or anywhere else. Trying to compare sets the person up for disaster before even starting. Course anxiety can be a crippling and unwanted stress. Take one course at a time, start, finish and start the next course at your own speed.

Keep in mind that the average student completed 2-3 courses per term! It's RARE for students to complete more than 4 classes in a term. Some people have a great deal of experience and can go through the material quickly because they already know it. Some people just want to pass and get it over with. Some people are whizzes at writing papers quickly. Some people don't have families or jobs taking up time. Everyone is different.

15 classes in one session are impressive! Congratulations! Can I ask how you managed just from the perspective of waiting for instructors to review your draft and/or final seems to take almost a week in itself? I'm finding I'm being held back right now because I'm waiting on instructors to affirm milestones and waiting for my draft to be reviewed along with the final submission. I've found the 72-hour rule isn't really being followed by all instructors, and I've had to email multiple times and then ask advisors to step in and help to get a response. The process takes days, and it is severely slowing my progress. It's getting super frustrating to me.

Lastly- can anyone tell me if the beginning description of their class has stated that the final assessment would be proctored, and then when you get to the actual final, it mentions nothing about it? I'm currently at this point, and I don't know what to do. I don't want to ask and draw attention to it, but I also don't want to be caught off guard. I personally find online proctoring to be creepy, and it's causing me anxiety.  Sad

the same thing happened to me, before taking the exam it said I would have to have the camera turned on. I was a little confused as this had never happened. I contacted Cody and he told me it was a mistake, and he changed the course settings. If I was you, would send an email to Cody.

Thanks for the head's up! The class I'm experiencing this in is Strategic Development, which I think is BA 440?? It doesn't say anything under the final assessment about needing a camera turned out. It just says it's a closed book test, but the course introduction said the final would be proctored. I'm just so confused. I will email Cody to make sure. Thanks!

In most classes, you don't have to wait for the Milestones to be affirmed by the professor. You can just keep going. If there are ones that aren't affirmed after 72 hours, email Cody or Jessica.

I also contacted Jessica and she said it was a mistake because UMPI doesn’t have proctors exams. Then, Cody confirmed it. I had that problem with Business Analytics. Don’t worry, it’s a mistake!

This particular class had to be affirmed berfore my final was unlocked. It took an extra 5 days to get it unlocked once I started emailing.
