If I am going to graduate in June, but won't have enough courses completed towards an extra certificate, is it possible to complete the extra courses and have the certificate awarded for free in September?
Or is it too late at that point and I would have to pay for it? Is it based on when you graduate or calendar year?

The certificate is based on the time you graduate the Associates or Bachelors, otherwise, if you're not going for a degree, you pay 50% of that certificate cost. The residency fee will cover the costs with the certificate. You just need to fill in an additional form advising them you're "done" with the certificate.
You have a couple of months to finish the certificate, it's only 6 courses if you are starting that cert from scratch. There are no graduation fees for the certificate, however; you must complete it by the time you graduate the Associates or Bachelors. You can email TESU to verify, just in case.

Hmm, don't think I'll be able to complete them prior to graduating. I thought maybe it could still be included until the end of the year.

I just wanted to added that TESU certificates are annoying because the course numbers have to match exactly in order to earn them. Just keep that in mind.

It shows I could get the HRM certificate with 3 more courses. Even though I am not in HR, I thought it could be worthwhile.
Don't think I want to pay for it though after graduating and having to pay various fees once again...

I don't think this is true. Ok I was wrong about that. The numbers don't have to match exactly but the title does.
I put a Organizational Leadership certificate in my evaluation just to see if I could get it. They informed me that sophia project management (which I already purchased, is in progress and preplanned for my degree) didn't count for the requirement because it came as "intro to project management" which isn't the same course title as "project management" However, the management clep I already took met a requirement, despite not being the same number as the required course did work because the title came out out the same.
Also, I was informed neither study.com's leading organizational change or CSU globals course will meet the "change management" course requirement for some of the business certificates. Not sure how you can get that one. Luckily for the Oganizational Leadership certificate it is an elective option, but for the GM Cert (and others?) it is required.
All I'm saying is from my personal experience I tried getting certificates and seems more trouble than its worth. Maybe for you it will be easier and more worth while.
TESU is strict on certificate requirements though. So before you go ahead, email advising and pre-plan to make sure it works.

Yes, I would recommend going through the list of other Certs, you might have one that only requires an extra course or two. But doing 3 courses in a month on Study.com would be the cheapest option at $270 USD or a bit over $100 Canadian/course. You won't be able to find cheaper courses anywhere else.

The only problem with HR certificate is "Change Management" requirement if you find a way to get that via alternative credit let me know.
