I doubt it, I read somewhere a person said even with open book he wouldn't have passed it. Which implies it isn't open book. The resource from TESU doesn't say it either. (Resource: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Vpx7...HASoE/edit)

Is to risky if you did not pass this exam you ended paying twice the fee.

It's closed book.  70% is multiple choice and there are 3 essay questions that are 10 points each.

It's hard to find resources so I've decided to supplement using what @Kurt8991 has kindly provided and mainly go through the book chapter by chapter since the test would likely draw key terms from the book. However I can't seem to find the pre-test, post-test, summary question and it's answer keys apart from what's available on the website, which are only:

- "Chapter Opener Questions" that answers two questions beginning of each chapter (http://bcs.wiley.com/he-bcs/Books?action...ceId=27002)

- & "Projects Manual "without answer keys (http://bcs.wiley.com/he-bcs/Books?action...ceId=27393)

The text book says this: "For additional questions and to assess you current knowledge of networking fundamentals, go to http://www.wiley.com/go/ciccarelli/ networkingbasics2e". Have emailed them and hoping for an answer though I doubt we'll get one since it's one of the lesser known books. Has anyone actually gone through the book and used it?

You can easily find the chapter book questions on quizlet. Just use Google some of the chapter questions and you should find a set on quizlet for that whole chapter. I was able to find all of them and created a TECEP set for me to study.

I saw the quizlet piece, but some answers seem wrong, so I'm a little weary about learning the wrong thing.
(ie."Which OSI model layer is NOT represented in the DoD network model?" Quizlet answer: "Presentation", but i suspect the answer is "Physical" based on the book.)

Did you pass the TECEP?

Yes, I corrected some that were wrong on quizlet. I think the person making the quizlet accidentally made that error but it’s good to double check all flash cards on quizlet.

Yes I got a 76% on the exam

That's awesome, do you mind sharing the quizlet you created?
I tried looking for the TESU instructor who teaches the course so I can get the textbook answer sheet off them, but can't seem to find an email address.

I'm not sure how this TECEP compares to CompTIA Network+, but I thought I'd share some free videos/playlists that helped me study for that, just in case it helps anyone studying for this TECEP(or studying for Network+).

He has a whole youtube channel and website dedicated to providing cheap/free resources for entry level CompTIA exams.

Particularly this video
This whole channel has great animations to help people understand basic IT, networking, and security concepts for entry level CompTIA exams.

Full Network+ course free on youtube.
This is from Pace IT and is very good quality.

Was recommended this playlist on YT for intro networking studies: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...cdEcaaELSG

It's very academic. And boring. I prefer videos where the presenter actually sounds enthusiastic about what they're teaching. Professor Messer sounds like he actually enjoys what he's doing. The above playlist, like so many academic sources, sounds about as excited about networking as they might be about a colonoscopy. Maybe it gets better later in the playlist?

For those who might stumble upon this thread later, I have taken all of the advice listed (plus a few more resources) and created a page on the wiki to assist with studying for the exam: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Ne...MP-354-TE)
