Ok, I'll try my best if you don't hang me later for any mistakes :o but since I am really familiar with this particular track, I'll give it a shot.

<<QUOTE=originalbigjim]thanks for the info! If do actually end up going to tesc (seriously considering at this point) I would go for the social science major mainly because 48 of credits are in social science. >>

Ok, 33 credits would be your social science major (a max of 2 classes at 100 level- not 6 credits). Then 12 social science for your gen ed. (any level) You have 3 additional that can go into your elective pile (any level)

<< is the unofficial evaluation free? according to my estimation all i would need is algebra and English comp 2 or the cleps, if would be nice if they could confirm that.>>

First, algebra is not required. Any 100 level math is fine. I took a class called MAT105 Mathematics for Liberal Arts, but you could use any prior college level maths or CLEPS. Evaluation is not free. You will have to apply (can be done online) and pay ($75 I think). You need to send official transcripts too. If you have a CLEP transcript, you might need to send it too- not sure since EC gives you grades where TESC gives you credit. This process can take a while. You can still have any CLEP scores sent to TESC in the meantime. They will hold them for you.

<< then on my free time i could study for these two exams.>>

Yes, and identify TESC as the school. Worse-case you decide not to go with TESC, it will cost you a one time $20 fee to CLEP to forward a transcript to EC with your two exams.

<< by the way how much do transferring in a complete degree cost at tesc? >>

Transferring credit in is free. You pay an enrollment fee of $2K and then any classes you take/books, etc. would be additional. Sounds like you wouldn't need to worry about that. There is a graduation fee of around $200 I think. I don't know anything about payment plans- you'll have to ask my friends in the financial aid office....they have all the answers Rolleyes

hope that helps!
P.S. if you get to speak with an adviser, Todd Siben is on the ball.
