Y'all I did it!!!
Yesterday I got my final grade back from my Capstone II project at Texas A&M Commerce.
My entire journey took 9 months. Started Oct 2021 on Sophia.
Cost breakdown:
Study.com $1,236.95
Sophia $455.00
Texas A&M Commerce $1,540.00
Chegg $86.40
Coursehero $64.90
Mathway $10.89
Total: $3,394.14
When I started I had ZERO credits to my name. I had had two previous attempts at community college both of which failed because of lack of money or lack of time. I spent nearly a decade working retail sales full time and those hours are unpredictable and long.
Note I do not have kids and I now work from home at a job with flexible hours, so that definitely impacted the speed for which I accomplished this.
But MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL I was to thank this forum and everyone who has been helping me out on my journey. I am not exaggerating that I owe this forum my degree. All the information I needed to achieve this goal I got from here and I cannot thank everyone enough who contributed to my journey by replying to my questions and helping me out.
I am sad to hear that TAMUC will no longer be accepting ACE credits, as that is how I got all of my credits before attending the school. For other people wanting to follow this cheap route, I would opt for UMPI. In retrospect, I could have completed this degree faster and cheaper even! I switched up the degree I was aiming for during my journey as I was discovering new schools through this forum.
Here is my spreadsheet where I tracked my progress.
Now on to my WGU MSML!
