TAMUC- Advanced Hours and COMS/ENG/HST Transfer

Hey there! 
Ill be starting at TAMUC for organizational leadership this spring and am trying to knock out a few more classes on Sophia. Does anyone know if Introduction to Ethics transfers into the general ethics course to satisfy the COMS, ENG, HIST, MMJ or PHIL classes, or if any of the humanities will work? I was also only able to bring in 17 of the 36 required advanced hours to transfer and was wondering if any of the Sophia courses count towards advanced hours. Thanks in advance!

wow thanks so much! does the applied major courses you take at TAMUC apply to the 36 advanced hours rule? I was able to transfer in 17 of the 36 but im a bit confused on if i'll have to take extra courses along with the 30 required credits.

You have to take the 10 courses for the Org major at TAMUC (now East Texas A&M), plus 2 upper level electives. Look at the example below for clarification. These are the classes I transferred in from community college (SJC), classes I took at Sophia, and classes I took at TAMUC. All of the SJC and Sophia courses are noted below, if you do not see SJC or Sophia, I took the course at TAMUC.

For the professional development electives, the school will normally apply any classes that you have completed that do not match the core requirements. If you are missing 19 hours for professional development courses, I would take those in Sophia and transfer them in.

For more information, you may want to review the thread here and all the links to the WIKI, it has plans in place for general education, electives, and you will need to complete the required 30 or so credits for residency. It's best to review some of this to compare with what you currently have, you'll then know what is missing...
