Subjective Opinions Wanted - Which UL History exam is the EASIEST?

laughter Wrote:I've done the World Conflicts ECE. It's tough and deep... focuses a lot on international relations. It's more of like the political aspects behind world conflicts. While studying for it, I thought I'd landed myself in more than I'd asked for. :p I passed with an A though, and looking back, am glad I took the test. It helped me better understand the underlying currents and background conflicts of current international political strivings. Smile

Sounds like you gained a tremendous amount of insight and global knowledge from World Conflicts...However, at this point I'm 4 years into an almost 30 year on again/off again journey toward finally completing my BA degree, so I need easy and shallow, not tough and deepConfusedmilelol: - not that I think the Civil War exam is going to be easy, just more manageable...

Congrats on conquering an extremely challenging exam! Smile

Westerner Wrote:DSST Civil War is definitely the easiest of the history DSSTs and the World Conflicts ECE. You're definitely right that it's easier because it covers a shorter time period. IC and the SEF has pretty much everything you need, but if you have time to learn the subject more, all you need is free online. Here's my feedback.

Thanks so much for confirming my initial thoughts - it's the Civil War for me...Smile As it will undoubtedly take me quite a few months to prepare for this exam (not to mention my problems with finding a DSST location), I'm not sure when I'll decide to put it into my schedule, but into my schedule it goes...Smile

I've printed out your feedback for the Civil War exam - it's a fantastic resource - thanks so much for sharing it!

SuZQ2, sometimes local branches of for-profit universities will offer CLEP/ DSST testing. Also, you might check with the guidance counselor office at your local high school to see if they are aware of any local testing options. Good luck!

You're quite welcome!

And I've also taken the World Conflicts ECE, learned a lot from it and am glad I took it. But if you're looking for a quicker, more manageable test, Civil War is it. Wink
