Hi,
I need to take SL Environmental Science and after having a quick look at the book yesterday and taking the first quiz I can tell this is not my cup of tea. I like Maths, Economy, Business, etc. but I can feel this particular subject is going to be a pain. Do you have any suggestions on how to approach it? I need 70%, have a book they recommend (paper copy, not ebook).
Thanks in advance for your help.

I haven't taken this course specifically but from my previous SL experience I can tell you that the questions come directly from the book. You'll need to read it.
For me I would read the chapters and take the test on them right after and I just did that until I completed the course. Depending on how you retain information you might have to take notes or highlight or maybe reread chapters. Some students on here have found it helpful to get the ebook because I think you can search for the specific phrases they use in the test questions.

I took this class and agree with getting the ebook. The book you need is Enger, Environmental Science, Study of Interrelationships.
I usually enjoy reading science textbooks, but I got very bored about halfway through the book. It was a case of plodding on and getting the job done for this course.

Thank you guys.
The book is terrible and not my cup of tea. But I found it in PDF too, and managed to get 120/125 (Quiz 1) just by searching the pdf file for keywords (no way I could get it with a paper book).
However, my next question is: if the PDF I have is not purchased via SL, will I be able to open it on my final?
Thanks,

Yes it is ok. There will be no problems using the ebook.

Thats would be great. I have a paper copy but , of course, searching in pdf is much much easier. This is a subject I just have to do. I really study subjects that interest me, like microeconomics, macroeconomics, etc. But this is just something that needs to be done. So if this (ebooks will be ok on my final) is the case, I will just read main things (articles, etc). and just go for it.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks! I should be OK. I currently have 690 points and need 700 to pass. So I need just another 10 (maybe 5 if I can get 125 on the first quiz here I now have 120 out of 125).
It is going to be a busy weekend with 4 SL exams.
