I attend CSU Global and Sophia automatically sends a copy of my transcript when I complete a course for free. So if you're already enrolled at a school and use their affiliate link, it may be free depending on the relationship the school has with Sophia.

I signed up for a Parchment account, added Sophia, and sent a copy of my transcript to TESU for $5.25. At no point did Parchment ask for my SSN. I do have the option of adding the last 4 digits of my social security number but I did not have to do that.

I did the same and TESU rejected it and said they only accept ACE transcripts for Sophia.

Fair enough, if that's so (but annoying!). This was mostly to see if the SSN thing was true.

I had transcripts sent 2 weeks ago through Parchment to UMPI. It was $5.25. Much cheaper than ACE! Faster too because it's sent electronically.

ACE is also sent electronically (at least, that's an option). It's pretty ridiculous for them to charge $15 for an automatic or semi-automatic email.

You aren't paying for an automatic or semi-automatic email. You are paying for the work that went into a process that allowed that email to be sent.
You are paying for the work that ACE put into developing their program; evaluating organizations, and having colleges accept their recommendations.
While it's annoying to pay the $15, I know that I am paying for the all of the steps that led to that email being generated.
Just another way to look at it........

You pay $15 for EVERY transcript though. That is an outrageous price for a transcript. Transcripts aren't what is funding ACE.

Same experience. TESU didn't even notify me, actually. I had to call AA and have them send an explanation email.

True enough. One more point in Study.com's favor. Everything is included in the monthly price (provided you are transferring to a partner school).
