Got another update. Today when I checked my unofficial transcripts it gave me a new message: “Your transcript is not available due to holds on your record.” When I checked academic holds, it had a .01 cent hold for “trans balance.” Maybe now they are adding my “graded” credit. Or getting ready to approve my application to graduate. Anyone else receive this when they check their unofficial transcripts?

I have the same message.  I paid the $350 through their website, and my student account shows the balance has been paid, but the financial hold perists. No idea if my graded credits submitted at the beginning of July are posted yet.

Is there any risk to paying now? What would happen if they don’t approve us before the cut off?

I don't know what will happen to that money if things do not go as planned. I had not thought about that until you mentioned it. I'll let you know what they say in the morning.

My brother got the same error today but all his transcripts were processed weeks ago.

We waited about 3 weeks for a degree audit from the Dean. After getting no response, we just sent in our "Application for Graduation" to Lisa this morning. Within 5 hours, we got the degree audit from the Dean, approval for graduation, and the hold. My brother will call Student Accounts (304-333-3739) and pay over the phone once he confirms the hold will be released.

Have you seen this hold on Pierpont? Showed up on my account today when I tried to check status of my transcripts. I believe it could be related to the $350 charge for graduation that hit 

Hey, I got your PM, the hold's just there until everything has been processed accordingly. Basically, like most things with the academic institutions, it's a waiting game until they process the entire batch of people graduating for December. I would expect a wait of another 4-8 weeks if not more after Oct 4 (not today's date)...

I contacted them this morning.  Student accounts lifted the hold.  The hold was only a financial hold for not paying the $350.  Even though I paid on the website, they had to manually remove the hold.  


My RA transcripts have not been processed. Unknown when they will be processed, or if they have them. Parchment shows they were downloaded at the beginning of July, so I would assume they do.

Same here. I called and they verified it was paid and removed the hold. No updates to my transcripts.
