An AS is worth more than an AAS in general, so there's no point. An AS is WAY more transferable.

Nope. The BOG AAS is only for people with NO PRIOR COLLEGE DEGREES.

It looks like the General Studies AAS requires at least 1 (maybe 2) labs. Something to keep in mind.

Isn't there now an additional $300 "transcript evaluation fee" for the BOG AAS for non-residents?

It looks like that's only if you're wanting to get credit for prior learning.

Ah, boo. Still cheap for an associate's, though, if you need one for your job. Less than a thousand bucks out of pocket.

Oh yeah, no doubt! But this program is so poorly documented that I just want to get as much info as possible before presenting to a relative that I think could really use it.

Wow. I'm glad I jumped on it when I did. Mine was basically free except for the cost of the few transcripts I sent in. I get it, though. They spent time and effort and expense to give me a free degree and I'm not even a resident of their state to enrich their economy. That's what this program is designed for. Get people with 63(?) college credits and get them a degree, so they can get employed or advancement, make more money, and spend that money in West Virginia.
I honestly would have been happy paying $300, though. That's a steal for an RA degree with no residency requirement. I'm never going to be able to send in transcripts anywhere, but I'm glad I did it for personal enrichment. I've spent so long in college it just feels good to finally say I have some sort of degree.
