My son completed the BOG AAS at Pierpont in December. They do require 12 credits from a regionally accredited school, but he only took a 1 credit hour online class through them. He wanted to take a 3 hour class, but it was so expensive, he decided to just take the 1 hr class in order to meet the requirement for the transcripts.
He is very glad to have the degree, but please know the process was painful. Nancy Parks was the only one who communicated with him and she is no longer in the job. Mr. Beighley sent him his degree evaluation, but answered none of his other questions. So, keep asking questions to whoever will answer you to get the information you need.
Do NOT wait on them to contact, you. Contact admissions if you don't hear anything. He applied in July and it took him 2-3 months to be admitted officially and was only admitted in time to take an 8 week class because he kept asking about it.
Good luck with the process!
23 year old son: BOG AAS from Pierpont CTC Dec 2019
Myself: BS Business/French-1991, Masters of Rehabilitation Counseling-1995, Completed the Poetry in America Series from HES for 20 credits in English in May 2019.

I know it's the 1 credit for getting the transcript, but the last time I had an email sent to the school, I was told it was 3 credits for residency requirements at the school for the AAS. If that has changed to just the 1 credit, then Pierpont is still the best option if you can wait for the school to send you everything. Otherwise, COSC might be the easiest/fastest option.

Right now, the cost is $400 for the degree (4 courses at ASU + 48 credits from Sophia). If you need/want a transcript, that's another $480 for a 1-credit class at Pierpont. So $400 or $880 total.

https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pierpont_C%26TC that of course assumes starting from scratch. If you have 12 credits from an RA school already you are set.

There wouldn't be a point to this, it's for people who really need an associates degree - and if you already have one, then why get this?

totally makes sense but my sis wants it - and she has AS already so that's why I'm asking.

An AS is worth more than an AAS in general, so there's no point. An AS is WAY more transferable.
Tell her to start working on her bachelor's instead.
