Here I thought it was just me-yes the print is tooooooo small. I had to increase my font on the page 3 times to get it to be read-able. I really am hoping that this is temporary,if not, I guess I will get accustomed to it in time.

I don't like it either. Before this change, I liked the way this forum looked unique and was not like many other forums. Now it is hard to tell which forum this is, it looks like so many others. I am a member of another forum that I don't like as much as this one, and I much preferred this forum's format and style to the other. Now this forum looks exactly the same as the other one! :willynilly: And it has the same formatting issues that members of the other forum complain about!
I don't like the new smileys either. Again, the ones before were nicer than the smileys I have seen on other forums. Nor do I like the narrow page or the format.
I can't find whatever is supposed to be in the lower left to change the style, either!

Sorry; I'll try to go back and delete that from my post. Earlier in the day, there were at least 3 options to choose from. He seems to have chosen a fourth option and left it at that for now.

Yes, I agree it looks just like that "other site" but at least there are no ads!
I don't like the new look, though, even if there are more gadgets. I always preferred this forum's look to many others (especially the "other site").

Hi Everybody,
Just to let you know, I didn't go with this change for the aesthetics. The reason our previous version was so "unique" was because it was using a version of the forum software that was almost 10 years old!
Believe me, it was a huge headache upgrading to the newest version but it was needed because the old version was clunky and had lots of security issues; it was unsupported and completely obsolete.
Rest assured that I am reading all of your feedback and am continuing to work on addressing all of the issues. I did think that you all would like this latest look I implemented though--this newest theme is designed to look as similar as possible to the old look in terms of the color scheme and being high-contrast. I'll see what can be done about the default font sizes and the width of the page...
