Need a 2 credit course
#1
I am looking for a 2 credit hour course that TESC would accept as a general education elective. I would prefer if it was one of the free online ACE accredited course, any help would be appreciated.

The only free ACE approved courses I can think of right now are offered by TEEX; and, since they aren't counted as natural sciences, they won't go into gen ed. Saylor offers NCCRS approved courses that will count as humanities and social sciences, but you have to pay a proctor fee for the final exam. I don't think Business Law and Ethics will be counted as gen ed, but Western Political Thought and Corporate Communication will.
National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS) « Saylor.org – Free Online Courses Built by Professors

Considering how much you'd pay for a proctor, you might as well pay $20 for one month at ALEKS. You can earn credit for intermediate algebra, college algebra, precalculus or trigonometry (they duplicate), or statistics (all of the statistics courses duplicate).

As far as I know, FEMA courses always go in free electives or the area of study for the Homeland Security and ESST programs.

I was in the same boat - I needed 2 credits - The folks here recommended a 3 credit Clep/DSST test such as Environment & Humanity: Race to Save the Planet - It was a terrific suggestion and the test is very commonsense oriented.

ALEKS may be cheap but it's not necessarily always so great. Unless you're proficient at algebra you're still looking at at 15 to 40 hours sucked out of your life and it's tedious as well. Better to study for one of the easier CLEP/DSST exams if there's one you're not already using in your degree plan.
CLEP: College Comp, Analyze Lit 72, Social Sci & His 67, Natural Sci 62, Micro 56, Macro 64, Psychology 69, Sociology 58, Mgmt 65, Mktg 67, Bus Law 69

DSST: Law Enforce 67, Money & Bank 61, Org Beh 70, HR Mgt 61, Bus Ethics & Soc 432, MIS 454, HTYH 456, Substance Abuse 465, Intro Compute 460, Intro Business 446, Intro World Relig 475, Supervision 438

TECEP: Advertising
TESC: Business Mathematics
FEMA: 3 credits for Free electives
ALEKS: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trig
PENN FOSTER: Strategic Bus Mgt, Consumer Behavior, Financial Mgt
STRAIGHTERLINE: Accounting I & II, Managerial Bus Com, Statistics

Finished April 2013 (14 months of work) - Graduated June 2013 with BSBA Gen'l Mgmt from TESU
2017-Going to enter WGU's teacher program 5-12 Chemistry
