I have a great career but need a masters in some field of psychology to get into a management position. I've done online studies for my undergrad but that was 2009-2012. I enjoyed it although it was course based and not competency based.
The masters can be any length (30 credits works), online only, and any sub field of psychology is fine (educational, general, clinical, etc.). I do not need a licensure program and won't be pursuing a PhD. Goal is to finish in 12 months or less.
Right now, I am looking at Walden (although not sure about tempo) and possibly APUS. Must be regionally accredited.
Am I missing anything? Thank you!

and you can take 2 courses each term
https://www.snhu.edu/admission/online/term-start-dates
each term 10 weeks long
I think its going to be difficult to find better than that, but I'd love to hear about some

What is your criteria for fast? There are a lot of programs that can be completed in 12 months. You just have to take 12 to 15 credits per semester. I finished a master's at Angelo State University in 14 months, and one of my classmates finished in 12 months. Even though they have traditional 16-week semesters, they offer 8-week courses, so I didn't have to juggle four courses at once. I have done 16-week courses at another school, though, and was able to complete 33 credits in 12 months.

Thanks again. I see also they need 3 pre-requisites which I don't have. I am not sure if they would accept Sophia or Study.com for those. I will reach out to them and clarify!

The key is to focus on the number of credits and not an advertised timeline. Most programs that are fewer than 36 credits can be completed in 12 months as long as the courses are made available. I actually prefer 16-week semesters because they make it easier for me to take a lot of courses at the same time. I have two master's degrees, and I'm almost finished with my second doctorate, so I have a lot of experience with acceleration in non-competency-based programs.
Angelo State University's Applied Psychology program is 36 credits. My friend and I were in a 36-credit program at ASU and were able to finish fast.

Thanks, I am looking at the Angelo program. I think the deadline was Oct 15, not sure how many openings there may still be. And they need an essay which I can do if Jan is still a possibility. Thanks again!

The only three competency-based programs that I know of are at large for-profits with bad reputations, but you might not care.
Of course, you're aware of Walden Tempo. Capella has FlexPath, and University of Phoenix has Direct Assessment or something like that. Although, I have heard that Capella doesn't really let you accelerate. Too bad WGU isn't offering their MS in Psychology yet.
