So I turn in my capstone on the 15th. The capstone is due originally today originally but tesu said there been an extension till the 3rd of January. I ask my professor if I might get my grade before than and he said this I will try to grade all final work submitted by the original deadline for the 1/4 final grading deadline. As far as I know, grades submitted before 1/4 will be posted, but that's a question that only the registrar can answer.
The wording is a little wierd but it makes it sound like he is just going to post grades later. I sent another message but he has not responded yet. What do you guys think. I understand this is a busy time but I find it sort of unfair that I submitted the paper 10 days ago and he might not even give the grade by the original deadline.

So do they not have to give the grade by 1/5? I was hoping to hear by then. I can see not earlier than the 5th, but I wouldn't think after that date.

I think it is the fifth but it makes it sound like he can deliver the grade earlier he just has not. Overall I find this whole thing annoying for the students who did not need the one-week extension.

Is the January term the only term that gets the 1 week extension? Hmm... I read about the extension but thought it was due to holidays or something different.

It sounds like if you submitted on time (without extension), you will get graded on time. By his original grading deadline. So for you it would be like the extension was not given.

That would be amazing as I really am anticipating getting my final grade.

I would add that it's anyone's guess when the school itself will post the grades to your transcript, but I agree with @Ideas, He intends to grade it by the 4th and you should see it on the grades page for the course.
