Laundering Straighterline credits????

It does sound strange but they said students have done that route in the past and they were accepted... It only the two courses that I need all the rest of my courses were completed traditionally. So if I decide to get an msn in a few years I won't be too upset about 2 courses having to be re done.. But I am trying to look more into it so I don't get blind sighted... Does this sound like somewhat of a common practice regarding clips dssts and SL credits??

University of Idaho has an online self paced Nutrition course at $450 or so https://www.uidaho.edu/academic-affairs/...ces#FCS205 they have Developmental Psych too (check that one though...you might specifically need the course to be called "HG&D").

CSU-Pueblo has online, independent studies options at $479/course in Human Development Psychology > Division of Extended Studies > Colorado State University-Pueblo and Nutrition Biology > Division of Extended Studies > Colorado State University-Pueblo

Just throwing those out there....relatively quick and straightforward to complete....and little risk of them not being eligible later.

Is the Uexcel/ECE in Nutrition an option? These exams carry letter grades rather than pass/fail designations and come from an RA institution.

No, not at all. I wouldn't agree to that arrangement, but that's me. You can do what you need to do- but if I were in your shoes, I'd take credit that would be accepted at face value by my school with only 1 exception, and that is in the case of an articulation agreement. But that's just me, I don't like surprises. This feels like it could come back and bite you later.

Credit banking may help avoid that situation, as you are transferring in credits transcripted by TE. Schools that have program agreements with Thomas Edison may be the most likely to make exceptions to their regular policies when considering the acceptance of transcripted credits. Check with the school as nothing is a given. The best thing to do is to simply call your school and ask if they will accept add'l testing credits if they are transcripted with TE - some will, some won't. "

I wouldn't say it's common, but I've heard of a few cases. Excelsior, technically, does not award credits for FEMA IS courses. However, they will accept them from another college's transcript.

Not sure if this scenario would work for your needs but it's certainly affordable.

• Apply to TESU as a non-matriculated student ($75).
  
• When you take the CLEP ($80) plug in the school code 2748 so the transcript is forwarded to TESU at no additional charge.
  
• Next, take the TESU Science of Nutrition TECEP exam ($156).
  
• Once both exams have been added to your student file, which you can monitor online by periodically checking your unofficial transcript, request TESU send a transcript ($15) to your school.
  

This scenario would omit the credit banking fee, and you would have earned the nutrition credit from a RA school.

The link you're sharing is a family's personal CLEP prep page, I'm not downing them, I'm just saying that it's not an official document by your college or CLEP....so really, they can say anything.

It's not normal.

It's fine for people to say "well, be sure to check..... some will, some won't" but that's a lazy answer. The truth is that colleges are exceptionally predictable in how they handle things. Since they are so predictable, it's easy for us on this page to help people navigate the process easily. In other words, if it was simply a case of "some will, some won't" then no one would risk it and we'd all just stand here flipping coins.

I've already contributed as much as I can, I'm not trying to persuade you into doing what *I would do, rather I'm telling you that there are things you should consider before going forward. The choice is yours of course.
