I haven't looked at this thread since creating it, but since it is up for debate... I have 12 ALEKS credits banked in my ACE transcript. I am now slightly fearful that I will lose them if I don't enroll into TESU. So, maybe this question doesn't pertain to just me, what is my best course of action to get the credits?
Should I enroll into TESU today? What is the cost "officially" get the credits? I know the application is $75. Am I missing anything?
Thanks!

Thanks! I don't know that there's any reason to panic, but yes, you can just apply and send in your ACE transcript. You have a year after applying to enroll by registering for a course or TECEP. If you don't, you have to apply again.

Since Kaplan is a college, that's probably why previously transferred Kaplan PLA courses at TESU are safe while those who snoozed lost three credits.
ALEKS is in danger of not being renewed and it is not a college. There is also no proctoring. It's easier for folks like me who already graduated to say not to panic. Each person should do whatever they think is best with regards to ALEKS. We're in uncharted territory where ACE credits may disappear again.

Kaplan doesn't give institutional credit for completing the course, they only provide it if you pay to submit a PLA portfolio and the portfolio is approved.

So I think I need this explained. Here is my exact point of contingency... If I apply now, and get the ACE transcript sent to TESU for evaluation tomorrow, that doesn't mean I am enrolled...? Do those "Evaluation" credits remain on my "Transcript" for the year? I am going to transfer roughly 73 credits from various sources in. I really only care about the 12 ALEKS since, they are potentially going to be removed, but it helps to understand. ie- Do I need to apply, transfer and take a TECEP before the 28th to essentially not lose the ALEKS? or am I over thinking it?
Thanks!

Yes, being an accepted student is enough to get your credits transferred and they'll stay put until you get enrolled. That said, catalog changes typically happen in June, and you may want to enroll before then, but it's a separate issue.

I have had no reply from ACE either about Kaplan.
I am worried about Aleks credits now as well, I have 104 credits and was hoping to get enough before I applied to TESU. It has taken a few years to build up those credits and would be horrible to lose another 12.
If I apply now and the Aleks credits are sent over to TESU, what would happen if they are removed from ACE later? could they be removed from TESU if another transcript is sent from ACE with them missing?

No one can make any promises. We've never seen ACE remove previously earned credits before. Personally, I doubt your ALEKS credit is in danger, but getting them transferred to TESU can only help. If TESU did try to yank them back, you can bet there would be a LOT of people here asking for reasons why.

I am also a bit worried about ALEKS. I have already had them evaluated at TESU but I am worried that if I send my last transcript and ALEKS has been removed, that TESU will take them away. I think I will fall into a deep depression if I have to do more math courses and especially "more legit" courses. Statistics will kill me from a different source.
