Hi Everyone,
This is a 2-part message.
The first part, is to thank all of you, the Experts/Moderators, the Forum Members, and those who helped with degree course mapping, and sending me PMs, and all who helped get me started in the right direction!
I completed my Pierpont BOG Degree, with an Area of Emphasis in Communication, on Friday. It has been officially awarded. I start UMPI the end of this month (still doing Sophia classes as well), aiming for 1 Term.
A couple things to note: I chose the Area of Emphasis as Communication, since I own a professional writing and branding business. The AoE did not slow me down on my fast track timeframes as well. My next 2 degrees will be a business emphasis, so I wanted to show some versatility with a great skill emphasis that would complement my next degree. (Even though eventually the Associates may not be on my resume, it may be part of a larger conversation.)
I'm listing what I took for the Communication classes, but please be sure to double check your individual plan. I recommend sending the entire 15 credit outline to Nancy for approval ahead of time (versus a class here and there) to keep the conversation cohesive. At first, I was told a couple of my classes were "iffy" (they have an asterisk behind them below) and then a few days later was told if the word communication is in the title "it might be okay." There really wasn't a firm recommendation of what to take that would qualify. I did receive guidance that if I ran out of classes with the word communication in the title, to do the Persuasion class. It was no longer offered, so I replaced it with a Conflict Resolution class. (The point here is to have a couple backup classes in mind, in case something ends up not being approved.)
Area of Emphasis: Communication
Corporate/Business Communication (from my former CC)
Speech/Intro to Communication (from my former CC)
Workplace Communication* (Sophia)
Visual Communication* (Sophia)
Conflict Resolution (Sophia)
With regards to the overall process, communication is generally very fast in the beginning, while you are being established. Once you get into your program, if you need to reach Nancy, I recommend ensuring you have as much info as she needs for your topic in 1-email, and be sure to update your subject lines accordingly when the topic changes. Feel free to follow-up with her, if you don't hear back in a reasonable timeframe.
I completed 21 Sophia credits, ASU 1-credit, and the Google Coursera Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Professional certificate. The certificate took me 3 days, plus 1 day for the e-portfolio and Google site. I wanted it to look amazing, as I'm also using it for my gig business. I did the free 6-months access to Coursera through The American Dream Academy (TADA).
I will update everyone again as I get started at UMPI.
So close, yet still so far ... as BJCheung77 might say!

Congrats! And perhaps mods could add this emphasis option to the wiki. Just need online alternate courses for the 3 CC courses ao that other people could get this specific degree emphasis.

It will certainly help people in the future. Only things missing would be AOE roadmaps for Biology which has been proven to be fulfilled with Sophia courses thanks to the Microbiology and Anatomy courses + lab. Even though I am still adamant in getting an AOE in Spanish, I wiuld be curious to know how a Health AOE can be fulfilled. There is no specific roadmap on the wiki as far as I know.

There is no pure Health AOE at Pierpont. There is Health Careers and Health Information Technology.
Health Careers is a bit of a difficult one for Pierpont.
Medical Terminology - Study.com: 3 credits
Anatomy & Physiology - Sophia: 3 credits
A&P Lab - Sophia: 1 credit
Bioethics used to be a UExcel, but I don't see any ACE credit. Maybe Pierpont would accept Health 301: Ethical & Legal Issues in Healthcare at Study.com?
And then??? That leaves at least 2 more classes. StraighterLine has another Anatomy & Physiology that could work. There are several Health courses on Study.com that could work. Health 302, 303, 305, 307-310. Maybe Nursing 301: Nursing Informatics? But one would need to ask Nancy Parks.
It's also possible that several of the Health courses at Study.com would be for Health Information Technology.
For HIT, possibly take Pharmacology from StraighterLine, if needed, plus applicable Health courses from Study.com.
