I started this journey 23 years ago and I'm finally done... so far...
#1
I am so much in the zone of studying and becoming more than I am, that I can not stop and appreciate what I have done to become who I am so far.

I am a college graduate of a Bachelors degree!!!

Now, with no time to waste I have become a Graduate student at the same time... that statement seems as though I am speaking of someone else, but that is also who I am...

My conferral date for my BSLS at Excelsior is October 16th, and my entrance date at Amberton University is Sept. 12. Upon entrance I will have 12 graduate credits already to transfer and should be able to graduate with their MA in Professional Development in May 2010, 7 months after I get my BSLS. CRAZY!!!

Now I'm trying to figure out what next... I have not finished it yet, but I'm wondering what must I study next... what do I do? I think that I have studied for so long, for what seemed to be a degree that I would never finish. That I now I believe I don't know who I am or what I should be doing since I don't have to study anymore. I think I will be lost...

This started out with me trying to make myself stop and smell the roses... I think I want to make sure that I don't focus on my BSLS achievement so far, because I don't want to rest on it. I also think that since it has taken me so long to achieve it, that I want to make sure that I get out of me all the degrees that I can. I suppose the ultimate final destination would be when I achieve that PhD.

However for now, I finally have completed my Bachelors degree!!!

Very well done, congrats!

I think I am going to be in the same boat as you. I may not take as long with my degree, but I can never envision myself sitting back and saying, "Now, I'm through."

Inspirational in that we should ALWAYS strive for continued greatness, but also because we need to stop every once in a while and recognize the great things we have already accomplished.

Thanks, EVERYONE!!!

Now, regarding a Masters in under a year... I did state 7 months after the BSLS, but I actually didn't even notice or pay attention to what that really meant. However, the way that happened has to do with being able to take a couple of graduate courses towards the EC bachelors degree. After I finished the EC's degree 7/31, I asked fellow posters about ways of acquiring other inexpensive graduate courses. I was then told about education related graduate courses. All of these courses are transferable to Amberton University's MA Professional Development degree. This degree is like a liberal arts degree. Amberton allows any graduate course in their degree curriculum to go towards that degree. Now this also applies up to 12 graduate credits of any course transferred in. I was told by a graduate adviser and a director that any classes up to 12 graduate credits worth would transfer into this degree. I will be done with the additional 6 credits next week. I will be starting Amberton's 10 week term classes, 12 credits down out of 36 on Sept. 12th then I will finish it in May... Huh!!! That's just hard to believe... WOW!!! I'm sorry yaw, something just came over me... and I guess I just have to finally pat myself on the back... I'm gitty now!!!!

Thanks alot everyone for your guidance and support...
