On the actual Transfer Equivalencies website, the Sophia class does not (and as far as I know, never did) show as an equivalent for the lab requirement. Study.com’s class, however, still does. Could it be as simple as that? Or was this Sophia class working for people in the past?

Sophia DID show as a lab equivalent. You had to complete both the course and the lab at Sophia. This was acceptable since Sophia released the Human Biology Lab course.
ETA: And it still shows on the transfer database.

It still does show as transferring on Mainstreet...
But isn’t that just showing it’s eligible as an *elective*? When I search the database specifically for equivalents to BIO 112 (to satisfy 3E under general education requirements), it shows Study.com but not Sophia.
Meaning, you can transfer the Sophia class itself and it could count towards an elective, but it will not count towards 3E
I just completed it and was assuming it would count towards 3E since Study.com counts but it looks like I may have been mistaken. I really do not want to have to take another Bio class

No, it's not showing as an elective. It shows a bio elective because UMPI doesn't offer this course so it transfers in as BIO1XX meaning it's a 100 level biology course. Doesn't mean it doesn't fulfill the GEC. My last post I copied and pasted it showing it fills the GEC.

If their own website says it’s supposed to transfer, then isn’t this open and shut?
I have no idea what you're clicking on or reading. I posted what the transfer database says for Sophia's Human Biology Lab. It gives the course number at UMPI, the number of credits, and the GEC it fulfills.
The transfer database shows how classes have transferred in the past. It is CONSTANTLY changing. Nothing is set in stone when it comes to transfer credits except maybe those within the university system meaning transferring from one U of M campus to another.

Right I just saw this so I don't know why the other gal said Jessica said it would not but I am so happy about this news!!! I was really sad about this and just thought, well, I'm going to have to find another way...but yeap, I guess it was some sort of miscommunication which I'm so glad for!!
