Jan 17th is my start date and my Sophia Learning subscription expires tomorrow so I don't have time to do Intro to Chemistry + Chemistry w/lab.
I'm relatively poor and I'm not comfortable with lab science in general so I'm unsure about re-subscribing to Sophia or paying $200+ for SDC's Bio w/lab course.
So for those who have done UMPI's science lab class, is it harder than Sophia/SDC?
Am I making a huge mistake by not getting it over with at SDC?

There have been nothing but nightmares shared here about getting it done at UMPI. Spend the money and get it done at SDC.
If you want start the Chem at Sophia before your month ends - if you think you can manage it then you'll have your answer about the Chem I w/Lab and then another science through Sophia
But honestly, if you already have the one science complete and you just need Bio and a Lab do it through Study by taking the Bio w/lab. It will be a small price to pay in the long run.

Attempting to do your science at UMPI will likely cost you an extra $1400. Yes, it's that bad. Either renew at Sophia for $99 or do a month of SDC for $200 + the ~$70 lab fee.

Thank you for the replies.
Guess I'll just bite the bullet and try SDC. Maybe I can squeeze in an extra course as well before the 17th. Maybe.........

It is confirmed that Sophia's Lab will meet their lab requirement considering you also take Intro to Chemistry.
If you do Study.com, it can take up to a week to receive your final grade, versus Sophia, you can get your course on your Credly within 24 hours.
So if you are in a hurry which looks like you are, then for sure I would do Sophia as it should be also quicker than going the Study.com route. Suck it up and finish this out or delay going to UMPI. Taking Biology at UMPI will take too much time and drive you insane.
Be sure you meet all requirements for 3C, 3D, and 3E.
If you go with Sophia, you need the following:
Human Biology (3C)
Intro to Chemistry (3D)
Chemistry Lab (3E)
If you go with Study.com, you need the following:
Biology with lab SDC (3C & 3E)
Environmental Science or Intro to Chemistry Sophia (3D)
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience: CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.
Certifications: W3Schools PHP, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing, Google Project Management

Keep in mind that you don't have to finish the course before you start UMPI! You do NOT want to take the science courses at UMPI. The professor is an absolute nightmare. There's a TON of lab write ups where you work with an owl pellet which isn't something most of us want to do. Study and Sophia both have a virtual lab so nothing gross to deal with. Both have a lab science that will transfer to UMPI.

If money is an issue, then you should probably just do Sophia. If you still need a Bio science, though, you'll want to take Human Bio there as well.
If you already have a Physical science and just need a bio science + lab, you COULD do SDC, but it will cost almost 3x as much as Sophia. In that case though, I would definitely do another course since you're paying for it. No sense paying for a month there and not getting the full 2 courses you can get.
Under no circumstances should you do Study.com AND Sophia, since that will cost way too much.
