I'm sorry for what is probably a dumb question. I tried searching for answer before posting. My son has an appointment at test center tomorrow for a DSST exam and I thought I would hop on to Prometric's website now and it would be just like purchasing a CLEP exam ticket. I registered him on the website but I'm not seeing how to actually purchase the exam ticket.

You actually pay for both the exam and the sitting fee at the testing center.

I think it's a good idea to make an account at home and remember the password. I messed up my exam because at the test center, I didn't know my password. Then when creating a new account at the test center, I didn't see the part asking for where to send my transcript.

If this isn't too late- you'll want to call the testing center and specifically ask about method of payment. I had a heck of a time with my son's DSST a while back. The exam fee we paid using a debit card, but for the testing center/proctor fee, they wanted CASH or CHECK only. <ugh> So, they wouldn't let him start while I found an ATM, and we had to leave and come back. Not fun. He almost missed his testing window. ;( Anyway, your center may have restrictions, just a heads up.

I had to pay by CHECK for mine. WTF? Luckily, they emailed me the info ahead of time, along with parking info. They seemed to be very organized and I had no trouble, which was a welcome change to so much these days.
