Recently, I saw a movie called Uncorked (it's about a black man likely to assume his family's BBQ restaurant with a strong interest in a wine related career) and it claims that the master sommelier exam is the world's hardest exam. There are only 270 people in the world with the title of Master Sommelier.

If you google the term "world's hardest exam" you'll get a number of results of places claiming that title, including that Master Sommelier exam. It's a fun idea even though I can't even imagine actually taking such exams.
