One of us had a similar suprise-fail. Is anyone sure that you can take the new version without the 6 months wait?
Has anyone successfully challenged the essay score??

Collegeboard told me I can take College Comp immediately, which I am doing.
You cannot challenge the essay. They sent me a follow-up email saying that unless the proctor notes a problem with the testing equipment on the day of the test, whatever is written/not written stands as scored.

Before you do, just as a measure, you should take all 3 Peterson's tests. If there is a deficiency, you can find out now. Advantage- you can fill the gap and take the College Comp in a month after you prepare. Of course, you could take the College Comp immediately and find out if you have a deficiency that way, but if you do, that'll cost you a hundred bucks and six months!

Great advise. Thanks, y'all.
