Hello everyone, I would like to clep biology and anatomy/physiology, but don't know how to get the lab credits. I just don't want to waste my time taking the cleps if most schools won't accept them without a lab. Does anyone know of any schools that offer classes for lab credits? Any information would greatly be appreciated

It depends on your definition of "most schools" and what school you're attending. In my experience "some" schools do but "most" D/L schools do not.
What school do you want to receive your degree from.

my school (UMUC) requires a 1 credit bio lab... I am currently taking that course online. It is bio 102...for a 1 credit class it is much more involved and time consuming than I expected, and it has a final. I would call it more of bio101 lite.
But that and a few more tests are all I need so I'm gonna get it done...

Athabasca University offers regionally-accredited 3-credit biology courses which include home labs:
Athabasca University: Course Syllabus, Biology 204
Athabasca University: Course Syllabus, Biology 205

Clovis Community College offers Biology, Human Anat/Physiology, Chemistry, and Physics courses w/lab via online courses. They are also very inexpensive.

Thanks everyone for the information. I am overseas right now and can only take online courses or cleps. My goal is to be accepted by a nursing commissioning program in the military. I don't have a definite school I want to go to yet and have to choose from a list of schools that are associated with the military. I am trying to save time by clepping classes, but a lot of the nursing schools want a lab in conjunction with the BIO cleps. I know there are schools out there that offer the course and lab, but i was trying to avoid these 16 week courses online. I just need the lab portion. If anyone knows of a nursing school that does not require the labs please let me know. Also, Excelsior is not an option for me. Thanks again everyone

If I end up taking the courses online this school might help. I think they have some 8 week courses to save me some time. Awesome!! Thank you!!

Have you looked into Thomas Edison State College? I'm getting my degree through there and am only taking one online class with them... the rest of my credit is through CLEP or DANTES. I know they have a nursing school... though they may require more online courses for that. Their website is
Thomas Edison State College.
