Getting an internship with UMPI enrollment & 90 credits but no UMPI classes

I never said you needed permission to do an internship. I asked if you inquired about it at UMPI. Your post read like you were trying to do it through your degree. There's a massive difference between an aerospace company and working for a realtor. You don't need an internship to work in real estate. If you already have your real estate license, an internship would be wasting your time.

A Buyer Agent is a Real Estate Agent.  A REALTOR is a Real Estate Agent that is a member of the National Association of Realtors.  It can also apply to brokers, property managers or appraisers.  It doesn't seem like that would be something that would be an internship.  That seems like something that would simply be a job.  Either way, if it seems like something that you want to do that would provide useful experience, then go for it.

The term can be used interchangeably when I say buyers agent I’m referring to the supply chain management industry. I feel it would provide amazing industry insight into the role of a buyer or purchasing agent in supply chain management. From the job description I’d learn things like 

• Understanding cost reductions, cost recommendations, and model rebates
  
• Processing custom options
  
• Building relationships with regionally contracted vendors
  
• Gaining exposure in trade description contracting
  
• Updating contracts

A buyer's agent is a realtor. So you'd be working as a realtor selling homes.

That's a job you should be paid for and not work as an intern. I've worked in real estate for years and I've built a home. I did all of that as part of my job. I wouldn't do that as an intern. I'd want to be an employee for this. Like I said, this is extremely different than an aerospace company. You have to figure out which field you want to go into.

By buyer's agent, you mean a purchaser of building supplies for a company that constructs houses. Someone else will be doing the actual buying and selling of the real estate itself.

That's not the worst internship idea ever, but I still agree that you should probably just get your UMPI degree and get an actual job. Unless this is a well-paid internship opportunity, but most American internships tend to be unpaid. Do not do an unpaid internship. Just get your degree and get paid.

@jarrett312, it's great that you want to be an intern to get some experience. Having said that, you've got your ticket by way of the license already. You've got some of the knowledge in the industry already, you're not fresh/green in that field at all. My suggestion is to search for jobs, not internships in the two cities you've named and see if you come up with anything. If you've tried for a few weeks and don't get a job then weigh your other options if any, I would still go for the degree first and then get a job in that industry you're looking at instead of the internship.

Yeah I think that's where I am with. Im in a job now I can do school at while I'm "working", I'd probably be in a better position staying put finishing my degree and finding a job. I could consider more offers than have to jump into the first place who'd offer me a paycheck assuming the internship doesn't turn into a full time role
