Im in CYB-201 third track Network Assurance and on my first module it took me three attempts to get to a 70 and now I am locked in. Does anyone know if a 70 is ok or do I have to get an 80 on this track? I know in the track before this (secure software) it said I had to get an 80, but now it's a 70 to pass in this track. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot what the rules exactly were, and I just finished these courses this year. :p I noticed that on some of the courses they would let you pass a module with a 70, but the other courses required an 80. Did it tell you what to do next? It didn't open up the next module? If not, then you will probably have to contact TEEX to let them know that you need to start over.

Yes it let me continue onto the next module. Some are 80 and some 70, but after reading how you have to average an 80 got me freaked a little. I guess I'm ok with the 70 since it says that's all I need and it let me continue to the next module.

You should be alright as long as your overall average is 80.

Could anyone shed light on which of the latter 2 TEEX courses (IT Professionals / Business Professionals) are easier to complete for someone without much of a background in either?

Just to confirm...

- The overall grade for each course in each track has to be 80% or above.

- Each test can be re-taken a maximum of 3 times before the system locks you out.

Is that correct?

I'm currently working on the first course in Cybersecurity for Everyone. Should I go straight on and complete the next two courses in this track, THEN only submit a request to ACE for credits?
Hope I'm doing this right....

I didn't have a problem with making an 80 in all the modules, but what's been previously told to people is that the average for the whole track has to be 80. I don't know if this is true; but, in the past, you could get a 70 on one course and a 90 on the other courses and still pass because your average would be above an 80.

If I remember correctly, it varies. Each course within a track contains several modules (as I'm sure you're aware of by now). Each module requires a 70% or 80% grade on the post-test in order for you to move on to the next module. It was kind of random, most of them required 70%, occasionally there would be an 80% required. I don't remember encountering anything that indicated an 80% average required for the whole thing.

You'll need to finish all of the courses within the track before requesting credit from ACE.

The courses seemed to be pretty fool-proof to me. You can't move on unless you get a high enough post-test score...do all of the tracks that make up the course...request credit from ACE...and you should be good!
