I posted this news to a different part of the board because it seemed more appropriate there, but wanted to give people a heads up that egcc has been put on probation by the higher learning commission. The probation will last until November 2023, at which point the hlc is supposed to decide whether to continue or an accreditation.
I don't want to take this conversation off the rails, so if you have comments or discussion points about that, here is where I posted:

Update: I got denied admission into Paul Quinn on the basis of already holding a bachelor's. They said their union program is intended for people who do not have a bachelor's.

Yes, that language is on the website (although there are multiple websites and a maze of web pages, so it may not have been in a place that you could see it). The only college that does not specify that it is only for people who don't have a bachelor's already is Central. Of course, just because it doesn't specify on the website doesn't mean it won't deny people who already hold a bachelor's anyway. I really don't know.
