I've read that foreign language CLEP credits fill the Humanities slot first and then the General Electives slot. Let's suppose I do really well in the Spanish CLEP and earn 12 credits. How will those 12 credits distribute between Humanities and General Education Electives?
The requirements for my program are like this:
B. Humanities (12)
Managerial Business Communications (3)
Other humanities (9)
Must include at least two subject areas
E. General Education Electives (21)

Are you talking about TESC? If so, I imagine you are correct. I have fulfilled my Humanities requirements and am currently planning to take the Spanish CLEP. I verified with a TESC adviser yesterday that the Spanish CLEP credits will be applied toward Gen Ed.

Yes, I was talking about TESC. So the following are all possible options, right?:
**Option A)** ETA: Not possible, see reply #5 below
B. Humanities (12)
Managerial Business Communications (3)
CLEP Spanish (9)
E. General Education Electives (21)
CLEP Spanish (3)
Others (18)
**Option B)**
B. Humanities (12)
Managerial Business Communications (3)
CLEP Spanish (6)
Others (3)
E. General Education Electives (21)
CLEP Spanish (6)
Others (15)
**Option C)**
B. Humanities (12)
Managerial Business Communications (3)
Others (9)
E. General Education Electives (21)
CLEP Spanish (12)
Others (9)
I just want to make sure that the 12 credits can be divided like that.

As for the division of credits, I'm not sure about that, though the thought of seems reasonable. Hopefully someone here can validate that for you. Otherwise you can submit a ticket or call TESC Advising.

Actually I just realized that Option A is NOT possible, because for the 9 extra credits they require this: "Other humanities (9) - Must include at least two subject areas". So I cannot cover all the 9 credits with the Spanish CLEP.
