The final exam was a handful. Heavier volume of questions and an exam that requires a solid base of understanding of the course material or it would be highly unlikely to achieve a mastery score.
What course is this? None of UMPI's courses have this name. Strut has the weirdest names for classes!
ETA: This class is in my YourPace dashboard! Was this Business Analytics maybe? I didn't find it to be a bad exam or difficult. I remember much of it not really having anything to do with analytics. It was an odd course!
It fulfills BUS244. With the program growing and the removal of exams, I would gather post-summer semester, there will start to be more and more courses new to those that have graduated during your time.
I am always hesitant to say something is difficult, considering how experience plays a significant part in comfort with each course. However, a course final exam with 37 vs. 100 questions, no matter your understanding of the material; I am comfortable sharing it is more difficult.
Business Analytics shows as BUS 440 in my program.
Strategic Development was BUS440. That course didn't have much to do with analytics. So yeah this was BUS244 for me as well. I haven't seen any courses lose exams. Remember, I just completed by BABA in March! The classes haven't changed since then. I believe that there will be many changes to courses in the fall when YourPace moves from Strut to BrightSpace.
I can honestly say exams with 100 questions are rare at UMPI. I am happy with fewer questions. If you know the material the exams, aren't bad.
100-Question Exam was my first course, so it was a fun welcome
My mention of exams going away comes from Jessica. Her feedback was Summer would most likely be the last term with exams in the BABA.

I can't imagine writing a paper for Financial Management. Oh that would so boring. LOL Not only to write but to read. There are a few other courses that I think would be terrible for papers as well. Maybe they'll be written problems to solve instead of an exam or a paper.

Not even an exam for math for business? You can write a paper for math, but that doesn't sound fun.

Honestly, you're going to have to do "assignments" and most will have some presentation or writing required. It's great you're trying to focus on exams for your undergrad, but I suggest at least taking some courses that will help you with presentation and writing for your future studies. Don't rush or worry, embrace the challenge, and work at "Your Pace".

Exam facts.
1. They are not proctored. There has been a lot of people asking UMPI about it, so they might become proctor. If you don't want a proctor, don't ask.
2. UMPI's exams are based on the honor system.
3. The adaptive quizzes are usually in the same course as an exam. The quizzes are almost the entire test bank. I suggest skipping them until they start repeating themselves, and copy them into Word. This will allow you to have an entire test bank to study from.
4. The final exam is 95% of the questions from the adaptive quizzes, just reworded, with, near identical answers.
5. Some courses (like math) has 37 questions, others have 50, others have 80. The highest I've seen was Business Law II. Most are around 65-85.

She was referring to the ten required BABA concentration courses.

Math for Business has been significantly updated with a lot of milestones. There are now questions where you have to come up with word problems, or, determine amount of paint, or, the volume of snowballs, etc. Simple, but not hard. I'm pretty sure their final will be similar.
Courtney Boma now teaches their math classes.

Agree with the value of using quizzes for the study. The explanation of wrong answers is very detailed and helps to lock in the lesson.

Absolutely the quizzes explanations are way more detailed then the raw material most of the time to me. It's more to the point, and explains it better.

Totally agree.
Written problems could be a good approach.
