I'm getting ready to take my first CLEP exam. I have a choice of Eng Comp or Eng Comp w/ Essay. Does anyone know what the difference is, of course other than writting an essay?

Definitely take the test with an essay. Number 1: It's easier for just about everyone. Number 2: Not all colleges will award credit for the test without the essay.
