ENEB Master Thread
dumber,

The outline of all the taken degree courses appears on the back of the university's own issued diploma. However, the WES evaluator may demand the full grade transcript and this can only be obtained from ENEB, as you pointed out. I believe that this may be the challenge with WES.

ECE has dealt with this matter somewhat differently and appears to treat the non-ENEB university-granted diploma more seriously. If WES treated the diploma from the university with seriousness, at least the institution would have to be marked as accredited, even if they refused to recognize the accreditation of the degree itself. So yeah, WES sucks.

Honestly, I do not care what WES does. I am just relaying my experience, not an opinion. For Durain, I hope ECE comes back with something positive for him. But as you see - not an opinion, you can't always go evaluation shopping. As an expert on Eneb, do you have anything more concrete for Durain?

I am not an expert on ENEB. Where did you get this idea? I am just a graduate student with an interest in things related to education. I have not forwarded my Universidad Isabel I credential to any institution or evaluation service yet, so I don't have any specific advice here. Sorry.

When you do your evaluation, it can provide more clarity to the many people here who are looking for cheap and affordable education. Also, we can't go around dissing WES because we did not get the result we expected. Many institutions rely on WES to get it right; actually, so do we. But we don't always get to do evaluation shopping. And by the way - WES gave me less than the desirable 3-credits per undergraduate course, which sucks - so I feel your pain, but I also had some positive things that I was not expecting. All this was before Eneb. I now used WES exclusively before they have a lot of my data.

There are many other reasons to have issues with WES besides their take on ENEB. Long history and lots of people left with issues from them. They're the most respected in academia, but also the most polarizing amongst the general public.

Most schools are not going to take foreign degree credits straight-up with no FCE behind them. Some will, most won't. So the evaluation is needed most of the time if you're looking to transfer. I'd ask beforehand what a school's policy is on the intake of FCE's and then go from there. Excelsior, TESU and many other schools want an FCE, and you're unlikely to get any credit if the evaluation turns out a "non-accredited" result, so there's that.

Right now, we know for sure that ECE gave an RA Bachelor's result, so I'd go with them.

1. For international transcripts,  Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) is the only evaluation agency approved by Excelsior for Bachelor program.
   This is not negotiable. Right?

2. Request ENEB to forward the Postgraduate transcripts  to ECE directly. Correct?

3. What is the total cost charge by ENEB for the above transcript service?

You may not want to negotiate that because ECE has given the most favorable evaluation of ENEB programs for the route you're trying to go.

I wonder why WES or any evaluator would take our money only to evaluate a degree or transcript as non-accredited. Maybe using "state-authorized" or a better term would work. They might as well take the stance of not evaluating ENEB or other non-accredited programs in the same way they do for schools like Azteca and UCN if that is the case.

Man we could talk about this in circles forever and it’s not going to change anything. If it works for your situation, fantastic. If not, no worries. Wink

We have never seen a degree like this.   It's actually very fascinating.   A degree priced so low offered to first world countries that has ambiguous recognition offered through two schools.   One, ENEB, satisfies the Masters degree component as a non-accredited/state approved Masters and the other one, Universidad Isabel I, satisfies the ability to transfer credits with accreditation.   We don't operate here in the US and Canada that way.    Either way you are right,  any education is good for this price and quality.  We care more about it then prospective employees and universities would. For the price, you really aren't risking much to be denied for entry into a school or a job.   I suspect a vast majority of employees would see the Master Propio as a plus no matter how we slice it. What?!?  A rational, logical post arguing against totally unnecessary and repetitive argumentation?!?  You must be mad!  This is the internet, don’t you know?  The internet exists on four things and four things only: cat videos, stupid/irrational arguments not about politics, pornography, and stupid/irrational arguments about politics. There is no place here for common sense and rationality!  Well, maybe five things…probably need more pornography.
