By the way- my school dashboard says the following: Dear Student:

Do you want to validate your ENEB master’s degree with an International MBA from the United States?

The European Business School of Barcelona has recently signed a collaboration agreement with the American MCA Business and Postgraduate School (Florida). By Virtue of this agreement, all ENEB students can validate their master’s degree with an International MBA from the United States of America.

Being in possession of a degree issued in the US will upgrade your resume/CV, taking your career to the highest levels. At the end of your studies with ENEB, you will automatically get both a European degree as well as an American degree – having those both degrees will differentiate you from your competitors in any future selection process during your career.

Validate now your ENEB Master’s degree with an International MBA from the United States until the 31st of March through one of the following links:

- Validation and shipping (digital format).
- Validation and shipping (hard copy) .

What does this mean? Did anyone else get this?

I would not bother with it. MCA is not an accredited university.  I am not sure why they even bothered with this.  It doesn’t even look like a normal US school. Looks foreign with a US domain and mailing address.

That's what I was thinking too. I looked everywhere and couldn't see any accreditation info for the school.

They are not accredited, just state-approved/authorized in Florida.  ENEB said they have received good feedback from the validation but those who know about accreditation should not use MCA unless all they are needing is a job that doesn't care about degree accreditation but the degree is still legal.  Even then, they wouldn't need this MCA certificate.

If you are wanting your degree validated, you would have to go with another foreign school like Azteca University or UCN.   http://businessschooldirect.info/degree_...__transfer.  Of course, it is 2 or 3 thousands but you would get a validated degree based on the work from Universidad Isabel I/ENEB and be issued a degree from them which when evaluated should give you the regionally accredited Masters degree.

Azteca and/or UCN aren't evaluated/validated by certain evaluators. Namely WES but there could be others.

I know SpanTran is atleast one that will evaluate them.   There are a handful of them that will but I know they are likely blacklisted from about half the evaluators that are more conservative.

Is MCA even state-approved though? Only thing I was able to find was a state registration which of course is much different from state educational approval. I also called the State Department to ask about it and they said they weren't in the state-approved database.

One thing I'd like to mention about the Azteca programs is that some of the degrees they're offering aren't actually authorized by the RVOE (the educational authority in Mexico) and I believe that goes for the majority of their Doctorates, so if anyone is thinking of going with them they should check the RVOE info first to be sure the degree they're pursuing is authorized in Mexico because it may have an impact on the credential evaluation as apparently evaluators are taking that into account more now than in the past for some reason.

Oh wow!  I guess that is all the way misleading then.   No they are not state-approved but rather a business issuing degrees.   ENEB still offers validation with them on their website but has stopped promoting them on Facebook.  They need to disconnect from them altogether.  I have sent questions to MCA Business School themselves by email as well as Facebook messenger through their page and I have not received a response about their validation deal.

Yes Azteca graduate programs are mostly propio with only 2 Masters RVOE and 1 Doctorate RVOE. I probably should have just mentioned UCN since all of their programs are considered official. They mention validation of degrees on their page as well.

The person I spoke to from Florida's Department was unpleasant and not seeming to want to help, so there is a chance that her information isn't reliable, but she did claim to search the database.

Not being state-approved wouldn't be the end, but when you're dealing with unaccredited degrees and trying to transfer it certainly doesn't help. I agree that ties should be cut. There is a better deal out there ENEB can make to accomplish the same thing, but in the meantime the current WES status is enough for that same result.

I've actually already contacted ENEB about this and they state that they have gotten positive feedback after I told them that many educational forums have given it negative feedback since there is no accreditation or transcript.  They also stated they will continue to work on other partnerships in the future for the benefit of their students.

I wonder if those students are international students who don’t realize that MCA is not accredited.
