I'd look to see if it has been ACE accredited. There's a ton of stuff that ACE has accredited for college credit where schools may recognize the course for credit. (The big three are pretty good about this).
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.

Bachelor of Science in PsychoRabbitology degree
Master of Education with a specialty in Rabbit-specific destructive munitions (or eLearning & Technology, I forget which)
Doctor of Philosophy in Wile E. Leadership with an area of specialty in Acme Mind Expansion - 2017 Hopefully

In Florida EMT-B is taught at Community Colleges (usually). It is worth about 11-12 credits. I suspect that you can make a case for credit at some schools and I think TESC and Excelsior both give elective or professional credit for the NREMT Cert.

Regardless of where its taught EMT-B is governed by the DOT....so its essentially the same regardless of where its taken.....all schools can decide if they will accept it though, and where it was aquired may make a difference to different schools.

This is awsome news, I will definitely look at using my EMT-P school for some credits with EC.

Anyone know if they may be willing to give credit for other various courses either EMS related or say something like Survival craft operations that was given by a state college in Louisiana and I recieved a cert stating that I completed X amount of hours. I believe this would be applied professional credit, please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks

EC awarded credit for my EMT-A course towards my AS but disallowed it for my BS stating it was not degree level even though it was cataloged as EMS-101, not a remedial course. EC stated it isn't applicable to a degree so they can't accept it towards a degree. It is a pre-req for the paramedic AS degree, but since it isn't part of the formal degree I couldn't get credit, even though they had previously accepted it. You need to see if the course shows up in a degree plan at the school who awarded the credit then you will probably get credit if it does. They did accept some of my other EMS credits though, go figure! Todd I would think the paramedic should get awarded since that is usually a degree program. Good luck!

It's good for 4 credits from TESC.

I'm EMT certified, but TESC would not accept them as I am from NY. National certification would have changed that, but whatever.
If you take it to TESC it's worth 4.

Babydoe i had asked that same question of tesc and even tho i was OK licensed and also cert thru NREMT, the nat'l registry, tesc said no. That only NJ emt/paramedic cert would b counted. Not cool
