What you are talking is TESU. There you can do both and then graduate at the same time. At UMPI is one after the other. Then you will have to do 30 credits for the first degree and then another 30 credits for the second degree. Most of them in the AOS and UL.

I did two degrees at the same time at UMPI. You just have to ask Jessica to add another degree after you are accepted for one of the degrees.

So does that mean you only had to complete 30 credits in residence at UMPI?

I wouldn't know that because I completed 60 credits total at UMPI so that I could take the CPA exam

I am going to be doing the same thing. I have completed a bus admin degree. My plan is to take the accounting BA. It looks like, after everything transfers, I will have 10 classes to take to achieve that degree (30 credits). This will also conveniently put me at 150 credits needed for a CPA license.

One snag I am coming up with -- "Accounting Information Systems" is a required course to take the CPA exams in my state. Is it a requirement where you are? If so, what did you do about that?
I wanted Accounting Info Systems as it was required for some jobs that interested me (in Fed government) and by some schools for MAcc/MSA admissions. I took it at U Cumberlands, cost around $600. Granted, I was a student there before finishing up at UMPI. Don’t know that I would have wanted to attend another university for just 1 class.
Master of Accountancy (taxation concentration), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.
Master of Business Administration (financial planning specialization), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.

BA, UMPI.  Accounting major; Business Administration major/Management & Leadership concentration.  Awarded Dec. 2021.

In-person/B&M: BA (history, archaeology)
In-person/B&M: MA (American history)

Sophia: 15 courses (42hrs)

I asked it long ago and was answered that I cannot do two simultaneous degrees. I can do two. I could add minors too if I had the credits required in catalog. The bachelors degrees had to be one after the other and each new degree needed to have 30 credits done at the university. All that based on the university regulations. They offered many flexibility and help for the degree plan etc Very nice people and helping. I do not know if something changed.

You can add another major. I was able to do it as of probably October of last year.

UMPI is great, just like many of the recommended institutions we have on the board, you as a student need to follow their regulations or rules regarding degree requirements, from double major to dual degrees. If there is anything you need or want, your task is to get in contact with your academic advisor to make sure those changes are made, be it adding a minor, concentration, major or a second subsequent degree. We as a collective can only provide advice, you are to decide if that advise is what helps you most, but the academic advisor or the school themselves would verify that advice actually works or not.

Out of curiosity, how does it reflect on your diploma? Did you do 2 BAs so that one diploma covers everything and the rest is on your transcript?

You mentioned simultaneous degrees. It's doing two degrees at the same time to finish with one degree, and two majors.

For your example: BA Accounting & BABA Supply Chain, if you do both at the same time, it's ONE degree with TWO majors.
Having said that, if you graduate with the BA Accounting and then come back for BABA Supply Chain, that's TWO degrees.

Another example: BLS MIS minor & BA Accounting, this is two degrees as you get the BLS MIS first and then the BA Accounting.
You can't double major and you can only do the BLS MIS first as it can not be the second degree.

So a BLS/BAS MIS minor with a Political Science minor added is not possible?

That's incorrect, some people have two, three, or more minors, you can have any minor you want added to the BAS or BLS, as long as it's in this list here.  Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...or-Inquiry

It depends which degree program you're in! If you're in the BLS, you cannot complete 2 majors at the same time.

So a BAS with my minor in MIS can't be combined with a minor in Poli Sci because that degree would be a BA, so a second major?
