Hello. I think I have everything planned out correctly, but not sure on a few things.
1. I don't know if my Western Civ I credit will transfer in for US History. Should I take the Sophia course just to be safe?

2. Do I need Critical Thinking, or could I swap out a different class for that?

3. As far as the UL transfers for the 24 UL credit requirement for the BLS, can I swap an UL Study.com course for the Microbiology that is discussed in the degreefourum wiki for the bls management degree? I was thinking something like HIST 307 American Civil Rights or Health 303 Healthcare management.

4. I'm not clear on if I need to take Business Communications since I took Workplace Communications. It seems like I probably do.

Any advice or critiques on my plan would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if I have forgotten anything or am misinformed about anything.  Thank you all so much for all the help you give on here. It is so appreciated!!

If literally Zombies in American Popular Culture works for 5B, then I think Western Civ should work too  Smile

2. Do I need Critical Thinking, or could I swap out a different class for that?
It's been reported Visual Commuications works for 2D which is the quicker course to take since no writting assignements. Critical Thinking use to work but some say it may not work in the future.

You can take whatever UL you want. The Sophia courses are listed since it's cheaper than doing SDC.

4. I'm not clear on if I need to take Business Communications since I took Workplace Communications. It seems like I probably do.
According to the Sophia Eq. Wiki, Workplace Communication comes in as BUS 210 Organizational Communication. So someone if reports this works, the Wiki needs to be updated.

Any advice or critiques on my plan would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if I have forgotten anything or am misinformed about anything.  Thank you all so much for all the help you give on here. It is so appreciated!!

@OP, you missed the addendum, where it asks for even more details to get an overview picture of your scenario. I highly suggest you complete the addendum in a reply to this post. It's great you're asking questions, but it's better to have a bigger overview of your situation so we can provide you concrete recommendations. In addition to that, you may want to review your previous thread here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-Questions

Sure. Here is the addendum info. Sorry I missed it. Yes, I know I have posted before. I thought I had my degree figured out and then I realized that I actually don't like accounting as much as I thought I did and ended up completely changing direction. Luckily I did that while still working on Gen Ed credits!

Budget: I qualify for financial aid and have personal resources as well. $15,000 is the max I would want to spend

Commitments: Children spouse and household. I don't work currently.
Time to study: Generally I spend around 6-8 hrs on weekdays and 3-4 hours on Sat and Sun
Timeline: I would like to finish as quickly as I can but Im not in a rush. Within 1 year for sure.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: no

@Milky_Way, continue with the Sophia.org/Study.com combo, you can review the WIKI for the BLS Management and other minor you're looking for. This is to make sure you have the required classes down and you can take anything else from Sophia.org to complete for the electives. UMPI is your best choice for now, so get the 90 max for transfer then apply, get evaluation, complete the 30 remaining credits from them for residency.

One great thing about our process is that you don't spend any big money at a college till you get all your alt credits done. By the time your alt credits are done, you should have a good idea of what subjects you are interested in.

Thank you so much for you response! I feel much more confident now that Western Civ will transfer. For some reason I was so hung up on US government being the only option but that's because it's the Sophia option.

Yeah, sometimes the WIKI might not have all the required transfers that are accepted showing, but you can always make sure on the UMPI GEC webpage to verify. I usually reference both when I create a spreadsheet template to track all my progress and work. You may want to create a spreadsheet and link us to it with you google or one drive, make the file viewable and not editable and we can comment on the options.
