College Mathematics?

Ok, so I have studied and studied. I have taken the REA practice tests, the first Peterson practice test and the test in the Princeton Review CLEP book. Can anyone tell me which one, if any, of these tests the actual test is most like. It seems they all ask the questions in different ways. I understand some ways, but others confuse me. I am trying to decide if I am ready. Please help.

I have not taken a Math CLEP, but on other test I have noticed they can ask almost the same question in different ways. Pay special attention to any Caps and qualifiers. Any, all but, Except, most, least, best. These are all words that can change the amswer. Good luck

What percentage of the questions are you getting right on the various tests?

I'm anywhere from the low 50's on the REA's to the low 60's on the Peterson's and the Princeton. I would feel OK if it were the low 60's on all, but the REA questions are very confusing to me.

Many say that a 60 on Peterson's is enough for a pass, I don't know about the REA. How about the official guide test? This will give you a clearer idea about the type of questions and the presentation. I believe you can still find older, 2001 versions floating online or you can buy the latest from Collegeboard's website.

Make sure you are comfortable with probability, both in word problem form as well as tables. Know compound probability. Know basic circular diameter/area formulas, know triangles.

Besides that relax and breeze through the exam. I took it last week after a single read through of rea book and got a 79 after 15 years since my last math course - so it’s not incredibly difficult ;P

Thank you for all of the replys. I always feel like I have to know everything before I test. I still have over a week before the test, so I will be taking the advice offered here to better prepare.
