College or university isn't what it's cracked up to be...

My son dropped out of high school to teach himself and later decided against college. I supported him every step of the way.

I always call higher Ed a racket. It's a total ripoff for what little you actually learn imo.

Basically, I find higher ed goes in all directions, if someone wants to learn a particular field or subject area, I would suggest the trifecta if possible (certs, classes, experience) and then shoot for the degree of choice. People have control on how to get into higher ed, by deciding which degree or institution matches them best...
