I took a REA test to see how I did first, then I sort of brushed up on the questions that I missed. Then I took the next two REA tests. I brushed up on those missed questions, then I took two of the Petersons. I used the internet, my Algebra 2 book, and a College Algebra book my mom had. I never really read the REA book, it didn't help me with the questions I needed answered.
I like math, so this really wasn't that hard for me. I think I had 10 minutes left. Just don't get nervous about it! I felt fine until I walked into the college, then I started feeling really small and inexperienced (I had never been in a college before)!! :o

This is the last test out I have to do. I have tested out of 51 credits including Statistics. I have the REA book and access to Prometric but this has to be the most Frustrating topic for me (College Algebra).

Thanks for that info. I used to tutor kids in Algebra in high school, but that has been over 20 years. Congrats on passing one of the hardest cleps!!

BTW, the InstantCert Forum is wonderful! Many thanks to each one of you for sharing!
The DSST Fundamentals of College Algebra exam is supposedly a more basic flavor of algebra and thus easier to pass.
I just bombed it by six points the other day! GRRR. . .

Hi,
I want to gratulate you on your stunning performance on the clep! 58 is a very good score. I hope I score that high.
Since, you have successfully passed the clep, I could use your help.
I am studying to take the clep this month and I am so like freaking out  because I feel so over whelmed with the information I have to review/learn.
What kind of questions are on the clep? Which areas should I concentrate on more?
Any advice for taking the clep?
Math is not my strong point and it never will be.
Thank you for your help!
