Chemistry Course
#1
Hi I am currently in Grad school and need to take an undergrad Chemistry course as a requirement for ASHA(speech therapy requirement to be certified). I am looking for the cheapest and fastest way to go about this. I am currently in grad school full time so I don't have the option of going in person. My school does not accept any MOOCs, study.com, Sophia, straightline, Cleps ect.  I wanted to take Excelsior Exams but they are discontinued. Is there anything similar to that? Or similar to Penn foster? Please if anyone has any advise, I'm graduating in December so have to have it completed by then... :/:/

Is it a Chem I with Lab you're looking for or Chem II? Search your local community college or state university and find something that may be 8 weeks in length that maybe online even... an example would be NMJC and other options in the WIKI. Most online options will be available at the community college level.

Have you already started your clinical fellowship, or would that take place after you graduate?

https://www.asha.org/Certification/Cours...Standards/
Quote:If you are found to be deficient in any coursework, including the above-listed prerequisite courses, that coursework must be completed at an accredited college or university program prior to beginning your clinical fellowship (CF). Time spent in your CF before completing these courses will not count toward your total (1,260) CF hours.

It looks like you can also take physics instead of chemistry if that's easier to find/complete.
Ongoing: MLIS

It could be any Chem and without a lab. All community colleges semesters started already so I wouldn't be able to take it this semester with them

The specific school that I'm in requires the class to be taken in order to graduate from their program. Yes technically I could take a physics but chemistry is easier so might as well take it. And any college that offers one usually offers the other.

Some colleges have a "first half" and "second half" where they will provide you 8 weeks to complete a class... yes, the first half has started, look for Chem I or an Intro to Chem to get the credits... otherwise, again, follow post #5 and review the WIKI for other colleges, universities, and options provided here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Obscure_Credits

And also look here: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sources_of_Credit

I tried this one. It jumps immediately into heavy physics stuff and probably takes 2-4 hours of solid work per day just for that single class. It's not really for students who have other things going on (other work, school, etc.), IMO. Very interesting, though!
