Ok, I know that the Enrollment Specialists are not part of UMPI, but independently employed and cover many different colleges. At what point, once you are enrolled, have a degree plan worked out with Jessica, email, etc all set up, do they stop contacting you via email and phone, asking the same questions? I’m curious if they are paid for every time they send an email or phone call so they make stuff up just to make contact.
Example: 2 days ago the ES sends me another email to my MAINE.edu email, asking if my student account and email is set up. Uh, yes it is, you are emailing me on it : ![Smile Smile](https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/images/smilies/smile.png) So I replied back exactly, “ I am completely set up, thank you”. I should add that this is probably the 4th time I have been contacted by her asking the same question….Yesterday I get an email back from her asking me to call her because she wants to know why I am upset with her??? Anyone else encounter the repetitive same questions and strange requests like this?? Do you just ignore the ES at this point?

I didn't answer the calls or emails from enrollment specialists. I didn't find them to be of any use. I told them to stop contacting me via email and one sent back an email in all caps. They're far from professional and leave a lot to be desired.

Cold-blooded
I had two calls, then shared that I would not need any help moving forward, and due to my schedule, it was unlikely that we would talk again, but I thanked them. Calls and emails ended.
I took this approach due to the countless posts shared here on how they did not provide any real help in the process. There are more valued resources in this forum.

You were lucky! These people are like used car salesmen. Some just don't go away. Many of them don't have a clue about YourPace.

Interesting, I think I've got the perfect solution to this... *ahem* I'll keep it on the down low for now! <emails them in secret to stop all calls/emails and other snail mail correspondence that I haven't received yet>

wait -- enrollment specialists aren't employees? I had to have a BS call with her where she was just looking for, what felt like, opportunities to coach me; giant waste of time.
My account has my name misspelled. The email that was set up has my name incorrectly set up. I reached out to IT and the enrollment specialist, she said she'd help get it taken care of. Meanwhile, Credly sent transcripts 11 days ago to the email she provided (edocs@maine.edu). She followed up today to let me know if transcripts aren't sent, I'll risk not starting in August.
I'm spinning my wheels with this lady, sent transcripts again thru Credly this morning, but honestly I'm just tired of dealing with her, so I told her to please cancel my application, I no longer want to be a student. In my mind, I'll re-apply in a few months and hopefully get someone different, or nobody at all who will hassle me, which would be ideal.
So -- even though I told this enrollment specialist to cancel everything -- if they're not even employees, that's not going to happen, right? So I could just stay a student and ignore her annoyingness?
One more thing -- my enrollment specialist has a e.online.umpi.edu email -- does that mean she is an employee? Are some employees, while others aren't?

They're not UMPI employees. They're hired by a third party company. Here is the email for the YourPace admissions counselor. Shea is AWESOME! She's an UMPI employee and knows here stuff. I sent my transcripts from Sophia via Parchment. It cost $5.25. The email account you have is not an UMPI employee. Let Shea know your name is misspelled and she'll figure out who needs to correct it. Don't go through the enrollment specialists. My dogs know more about YourPace than they do. Some of them don't even understand the very basic admissions process. They're sales people. It's like buying a used car in the 80's with them.

shea.cushman@maine.edu 100% agree. Contact Shea if you want to enroll. Shea is insanely awesome! She can set you up with past alumni in phone calls to talk about certain programs, she will talk to you about your goals, etc, and not pressure you.
