UMPI Fall Enrollment deadline is today (for those who are continuing in the Fall)
Please make sure to max your transfer, delay enrollment if needed.
I got an email from them, congrats to the people who are graduating, and for those who are needing to take an extra session, you have to get this completed asap otherwise you'll be booted to the next session.

How come you're not?
I'm trying to but having a bit of difficulty with UMPI.
My admissions specialist is insisting that my OU credits need to be evaluated by WES, and also that I provide a high school transcript. I only want to pay for WES again if I'm sure they're actually going to transfer credits in and not just waste my money. But I suspect unless I can speak to an academic advisor I'm just going to get the same answer.
High school exam transcripts are going to be even harder and more expensive to obtain, due to it being over 30 years ago and the exam boards having dissolved, merged, split, changed names etc.

UMPI and the University of Maine System require a high school transcript for all students who do not have a degree. If you have an associate degree or bachelor's degree then you're waived from the requirement. It's required of international students as well. Yes, it's challenging for students who graduated a few decades ago. My high school transcripts are in storage so it took weeks to get them.
No idea what OU is. If you list a college on the application they will require a transcript. They will not proceed with your application until they have received all transcripts. You'll have to get the transcript evaluated. WES isn't the only option though. Academic advisors can't help you until you're an enrolled student. They also do not process transcripts and don't have control over how courses transfer.

Actually they'll waive the high school transcript requirement if you have 60 transferable credits, as per their website and what they've said to me previously. I should be comfortably over that limit even without my credits from the OU - Open University. They've received my transcript from there. The OU is a regionally accredited institution and when I did get an evaluation by WES done, they evaluated the courses I'd done as nearly 130 credits. The problem was, there was no evaluation of say my 10.5 credit maths course, which covered algebra, statistics, geometry, etc as covering those things.

And you'll find that for many students it has not been waived. Well you need math courses for a degree from UMPI so you'll have to get the evaluation or take math classes again.

We can hardly be held responsible if they're not sticking to their own policies stated on the website then.
I just checked my emails also, it's the same person who a week ago told me I can have the HS transcript waived if I transfer in 60 ACE credits!
I've just pointed out my initial Credly transcript had around 75 credits on it and I've just re-issued another which adds on another 25 or so from the last few weeks. If this isn't suitable I may have to give UMPI a miss, I looked up one of the examining boards and they said it'd be a minimum of 20 working days to issue a transcript - which puts me outside the last day for documents.
I also didn't really get any acknowledgement of my WES query, just a re-stating, in fact, I'm not sure if my email was read correctly. I'm sure they're swamped now, it took them a while to reach out to me after my initial application, where as when I was considering applying last semester, they came back to me the next day and were following up emails very quickly. Although the responses even then seemed rather canned and more like a barrier just to get through to - that's why I gave PUG a miss, twice I made enquiries, both times they mistakenly ignored my application form and tried to pressure me to quickly sign an application document and send it back in - which would have been for their traditional study, not self paced and would have commit myself to thousands of dollars.
