I live in Wisconsin and want to take the CPA exam and must take 24 credits in accounting at the undergraduate level to sit for the CPA exam. If I go forward with my degree plan it will consist of the following.
Clep-Introduction to Financial Accounting
TECEP-Introduction to Managerial Accounting
TESU-Intermediate Accounting I
Penn Foster-Intermediate Accounting II
Study.com-Applied Managerial Accounting
Study.com- Advanced Accounting
LSU-Accounting Information Systems
TECEP-Federal Income Taxation
CSU Global-Auditing
Does this seem as though the state board exam will accept these credits and allow me to sit for the CPA exam? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would question why you would take certain courses (TESU for Int Acct I when you can take it thru PF, CSU-Global and possibly Study.com soon?).
But those should all work.
CSU-Global has Accounting Info Systems for a lot less than LSU.
If you are going through TESU for your degree, then you can also take SL's Accounting I & II (comes in as Financial Acct, and Managerial Acct) and their Financial Acct (comes in as Int Acct I) and Managerial Acct (comes in as Cost Acct).

I already have taken many of these courses and I do regret taking them in certain ways, yet what is done is done. My main concern is whether or not my state board will accept these credits. Because, I do not want to submit everything and find I am rejected because I did not do things right.

Randomly did a search and found a basic site: See below

You should check your state requirements specifically on what they need.
But seems you need 24 credits in Accounting and 24 credits in Business courses

Also from your link, here's the pertinent part for the OP:
Quote:CLEP, online and correspondence courses are acceptable if they have been accepted for credit by an accredited college that offers a bachelor’s degree
It sounds like you want to make sure the alternative credit courses make it onto your TESU transcript...which they will if they are part of your degree plan.

Any course TESU awards college credit for will end up on a TESU transcript, even if the course doesn't fit into the degree plan.

Yes, but if they were taken after graduation, one might have to credit bank or re-enroll to get them on there. I thought it was important to note that just taking them wasn't enough.

While I can't speak for your state, Indiana requires 24 credits in accounting courses and 24 credits in business courses ( 150 credits total) to sit for the CPA exam. BUT, these credits MUST be from accredited courses. CLEP's, DSST's, TECEP's, ( or any credit by exam) will not satisfy this requirement in my state. Definitely check with your state licensing board to verify the requirements. Find it in writing. Here is a place to start:https://www.accountingedu.org/
I'm going to throw this out there as a possible option ( please don't ban me from the forum ) Lumerit offers an option for many of the courses that you may need that are accredited through Waldorf (I think??) University. A local community college may be an option as well, but Lumerit courses are easy and much faster. Just some thoughts.
How many credits do you currently have and what business/accounting courses have you already taken?

Hey I actually got a degree in History with Lumerit back when it was CollegePlus . Anyway, I am back at TESU on my own right now getting a degree in accounting. I currently have 27 Credit Hours in Business just working on the final 3 three with my Business Capstone. I have 21 Credits in accounting with the following courses having been completed.
Clep-Introduction to Financial Accounting
TECEP-Introduction to Managerial Accounting
TESU-Intermediate Accounting I
Penn Foster-Intermediate Accounting II
Study.com-Applied Managerial Accounting
Study.com- Advanced Accounting
LSU-Accounting Information Systems
I have 6 credits left to take as I need courses in audit and taxation which I plan on fulfilling with the courses below.
TECEP-Federal Income Taxation
CSU Global-Auditing
When all is said and done I should 27 credits in accounting.

The Study.com "Advanced Accounting" course bears little resemblance to a standard advanced accounting course.
The sole recommended prerequisite is an introductory financial accounting course. Traditional advanced accounting courses usually require at least 6 hours of Intermediate Accounting as a prerequisite and covers topics well above the level indicated by the syllabus of this course (e.g., consolidated financial statements, foreign currency translation).
The syllabus looks like it could be an "advanced" course in an associate degree program. I would look elsewhere if the goal was to pass the CPA exam.
