If the school puts them on the transcript as PLA credits, then we know the Big 3 will not accept them.
If the school "launders" the credits a bit on the transcripts and makes those credits appear as if you had actually taken the courses there (this is unlikely), then TESU will likely accept them if they have no other way of knowing.
My understanding is they are listed as so:
RBA Credits
BUS 101 Intro to Business 3 credits
I have not had mine transcribed so I won't be able to post until they do.
MA in progress
Certificate in the Study of Capitalism - University of Arkansas
BS, Business Administration - Ashworth College
Certificates in Accounting & Finance
BA, Regents Bachelor of Arts - West Virginia University
AAS & AGS

Also, a portfolio does not have to contain all of the knowledge you are trying to demonstrate. It's sufficient to describe the material you mastered, how you mastered it, document certifications and include reference letters from people who can verify your experience.
I see no reason that PLA couldn't be used for almost any course.
I just looked at TESU's sample portfolios. I feel like they expect way too much, although on this forum sometimes people say they only did an MOOC or similar. In the sample portfolios, for example, there was one for an simple course on building materials (CET-151), not even upper level. And the portfolio shows how the person has 11 industry certifications, 4 letters from various people, photos of 3 major projects he's done. And he can't just send the certifications, letters and photos. He still had to write about 9 pages.
Although, it wouldn't be as bad if he could submit the same, or almost the same portfolio for say 5+ other courses. In this example, he certainly has proof of more than just knowing construction materials.
The other sample portfolios are similar. Like, the art course on mural painting, and the person had many letters and photos proving that she had done dozens of major projects over many years. I would prefer to see examples where it wasn't someone who very obviously had significantly more than the course equivalent.

TESU accepted my PLA credit from ESC, and I made it known to them that it was a PLA.
Alright then, I stand corrected. Sorry folks.

Hopefully those examples are stressing the point that you need proof.
In the open course, it says:
Also in the Q&As, it say, "The overwhelming majority of our Portfolio students are successful in their attempts to earn college credits."
That being said, I'm probably going to use LearningCounts because it will be a LOT cheaper.

If I was going to PLA a MOOC, I'd document the syllabus and how it satisfies the learning objectives of the college course I was challenging. Then explain any projects, papers or exams. I would then provide copies of the papers or projects that were done, plus any grading or certificates that showed my successful participation. That should do the job.
